I just keep imagining I'm that convenience stand worker. He can definitely see them putting the card down and then waiting there awkwardly for hours for someone to pick it up and then follow him home suspiciously. He said "not my problem."
Can you believe that most of us saw this S3 filming photo all the way back in August and we were all like, “Yay cute little Taivan movie lunch date!”
And it actually turned out to be them deciding who they are going to fucking MURDER

This brought up some musings about legality=/=morality for me. Burning down the theater ABSOLUTELY WAS valid retribution for the murders of Claudia and Madeleine, but not because they broke the vampire laws (made up), because they murdered 2 inconveniently liberated women for the purpose of political expediency within the coven, in a show trial. The integrity of the coven structure is so fragile and demands such a controlled lifestyle from its members that any reminder of the freedom they lack threatens to break it apart entirely. Last time they met someone they couldn't control he completely upended their way of life and turned them from a sewer-dwelling extreme religious sect into a campy hedonistic theater company, and Armand let him because he knew if they couldn't find a way to fold Lestat into their control the coven members would leave or kill him. Coven life is busy, and monotonous, and stressful, and frustrating, and most of all restrictive. Seeing a vampire who doesn't have to and chooses not to live by those rules, or who promises to live by those rules and then successfully LEAVES, the delicate "family" structure they've built will crumble. They murdered those women in a vindictive release of pent up frustration about their own lack of freedom. And they deserve exactly what they got from Louis, in fact Santiago got off easy.
Do you accept that Louis' burning of the Theatre was fair retribution for the coven's murder of Madeline? She was 100% innocent, so her death was murder. By your logic, they broke law four with her murder, and caused anarchy (Louis' madness) which led to their deaths. I suppose a case in point of why they should've never carried out the trial in the first place.
But the trial took place with the consent and under the control of Armand, the master of the coven, who, according to the laws, has "the power of life and death" over other vampires. They didn't break anything.

Callie is so real because I would also be having a problematic power dynamic, corruption, age gap lesbian fantasy about Lottie in this moment

I think Lottie was trying to get close to the wilderness and died in the process, I think that was made very clear by her body's surroundings. I just feel bad for Callie who was just starting to get to know her. I also think it will be fascinating to see what shit they get up to even when they don't have Lottie and her worse-making talents to blame for what they end up doing. This is going to be a huge change for their group dynamic, even though none of them were really talking much with Lottie before she died anyway. The wilderness has lost its instigator and I am so interested to see how that will affect the rest of the survivors

One last reminder that Shauna and Nat do have care and empathy for each other at the core of their dynamic, despite the horrors we all know are going to happen in the next few episodes
