Thinking about our next crochet project. I think all together the first glove (only including the actual successful attempt) took maybe like 8 hours over a few days? So we should be done with the second by the end of the week which is very very exciting but I'm not sure where to go after that. It can't be anything with a granny square because I tried and failed 5 different tutorials for them but that shouldn't be too limiting? I hope? The gloves are something that's really practical but also not too big of a project to embark on so I figure we should probably stick to that realm but maybe something more decorative because I love to wear little accessories. Maybe like a little choker or some variety of hair decor. I do really like hair decor. A bow seems kind of hard but I could do like a bun cover or something? And if I make the stitches a bit loose I can probably make it so we can have a bun cover AND use a hair stick which would rock. I dunno. We should sleep now I'm just Considering

FUN NEWS: one glove complete!!! We did start on the second one before that because for some reason I didn't think of the fact that I still needed to sew up the first but I ended up frogging it because the tension was kinda wonky and I would rather start again now than later y'know?

I need. To make a shirt that says boytoy. I need this violently. I need to embroider it in a really swirly font and I need it to be on a lilac tank top. I think acquiring the tank top will probably be the easy part considering I don't even know what kind of font will fit my Vision and can be easily embroidered but. I've been struck with a violent need for this.

I can now solidly figure out they're going for 1880s but they also seem to be doing a very stereotypical female protagonist of a period piece which I don't exactly love but. We'll see.

Her brother appears to be queer and also kind of a dick which is very older sibling of him

My theory is 1880s. She has a fairly small bustle and her hat is pretty indistinct but y'know. She's got gloves and a hat. What more can I ask for in an unspecified but vaguely late victorian era?

The new movie I have selected did not mention being a period piece but it obviously is so I am going to try and puzzle out when it takes place. It's obviously late victorian but I'm not sure when. The collar on the mom makes me think it's maybe supposed to be late 1870s early 80s? But they're all sitting down right now and the other bodices give me no such hints nor does the men's attire. Alas.

I really thought it was gonna make some sort of point because the synopsis provided to me really made it seem like there would be but its more the "would that be fucked up or what" horror which is FINE and I enjoy at times but it wasn't at all what I was expecting from the synopsis

I had to stop watching it. I understand how some people could like it but to me I was just confused and unpleasantly uncomfortable. Like some movies make you a good kind of uncomfortable where it's worth it for the larger plot or otherwise value of the film but this just. No.
