Sandra is the property manager at the Faerie Ring Campground in Guerneville, California. She gives people a safe place to set up their tents or park their RV. She says camping costs are not the same as they use to be so she makes sure to keep her prices affordable. She's been booked for two years straight, but always makes room for people who really need a place to sleep. ‘We All Live Here’ @rachelbujalski #everydaybayarea #EDBA #housing #californiahousing

Kathryn’s trailer sits decorated with lights at the Mirabel RV Park in Forestville, California. After she lost her position as a hotel manager to a younger employee— she lost her benefits and her room at the hotel. Leaving the area wasn’t an option since her children and grandchildren live near by. Living in the RV was the best affordable housing option she could find . This is Rachel Bujalski @rachelbujalski taking over for #everydaybayarea. This week I’m sharing images from a new project titled ‘We All Live Here’ that documents the affects of the California housing crisis. After years of living alternatively myself, I set out to highlight the stories of often overlooked families and individuals living outside the typical American home. Due to the rising costs of renting or buying a home today, many people are finding themselves living in RVs, vans, or campgrounds to stay in their home state. These images are taken in Forestville, Guerneville, and Jenner, California . #EDBA #housingcrisis #CaliforniaHousing #BayArea

Mia, 9, outside her home kissing one of the kittens from their cat's new litter. Mia and her little sister live in a trailer with her mom and stepdad. It took them awhile to find an RV park that accepted their older trailer. They have only been living in their new spot for a month under the redwood trees . @rachelbujalski for #everydaybayarea. (5/5) This EDBA Weekend Community Feature #MyEDBA comes from Gordon Szeto @bokchoyboy (of @glasskeyphoto), who shares with us a series of pinhole images from around the bay. This last color image of the Golden Gate Bridge was taken with a homemade 4x5 camera. ⠀ Gordon says: “I have been a pinhole photographer for a few years now. As I was learning who I was as an artist, I realized that I loved moody and surreal images. I started playing with pinhole photography and I fell in love with it knowing that it was the perfect medium to express myself the way I wanted to.” ⠀ Hashtag your images #MyEDBA or #everydaybayarea to be considered for future weekend features. #catchlighteveryday (at Marin Headlands)
