kinda fucked how a full-blown mental breakdown/ugly sobbing crying episode is supposed be like, all good for your soul and whatever but it always comes with insane headache/congestion shit. like yeah i scream-exorcised a rotting part of myself but at what cost.

i’m going to hold your hands when i say this and i am only going to be kind about it once: ai does not belong in fandom spaces, ever. not in writing, not in art, not in video, not at all. it does not matter how bad you want to see your favourite characters kiss, or how much you need a bit of help finishing a chapter, or whatever.

make friends with artists. commission somebody. learn to draw yourself. ask for a beta read. try a writing partnership. fandom spaces are communities, so engage with them! it is about the journey and the fact that we all love something enough to create and build together about that thing.

spending 30 seconds to kill a tree and get an AI to push out some soulless empty piece of “content” is antithetical to the entire point of being engaged with fandom, and if you’ve taken to doing this you should really reconsider if you belong in these spaces with the rest of us.

Meimi x Daiki: ideologically i disagree with carceral punishment but saint tail kind of went off with "capture" as a metaphor for pursuing your crush. at least asuka becomes a private eye at the end instead of a policeman. anyway theyre soooooo cutes / Whenever night falls, Haneoka Meimi turns into Phantom Thief Saint Tail to deliver justice for people who can't seek it for themselves. The public, however, views her as merely a thief chasing whatever catches her fancy (not that it stops girls from idolizing her). Her classmate, Asuka Jr, is an aspiring detective trying to outdo his detective dad and has tasked himself with capturing St Tail no matter what. After following her capers, he realizes that St Tail's intentions aren't as the public perceives, but he still has a strict moral compass that puts him at odds with St Tail's methods of delivering justice. One night they strike an agreement where St Tail has to send a note to Asuka Jr before her missions, turning every caper into a challenge where either she gets the job done or Asuka Jr captures her first. Asuka Jr develops a fascination with the character of St Tail--how the public perceives her and uses her image, the pressures she put on herself by becoming the city's hidden hero, and whether the girl behind the mask truly lives up to the ideals she represents when the mask's off. He rejects any help from others to try and unmask her, believing it should be something he should do himself without cheating, and even if he doesn't agree with her methods he doesn't allow anyone to besmirch her name or frame her to get away with their own crimes. He also gets butthurt whenever St Tail sets off to a caper without telling him... ...which is an issue for Meimi who actually has a crush on Asuka Jr and thinks that he is in love with her alter ego. Her affection for him gets her in trouble because it makes her almost slip and risk her anonymity multiple times. She knows if anyone should unmask her, she wants it to be only him, but it also terrifies her, because what if he hates her when he realizes that Meimi has been lying to his face this entire time? What if Meimi is not the perfect girl he was hoping St Tail to be? Except all her assumptions about Asuka Jr are not true. He is a man of substance and wouldn't fall for someone he doesn't know beyond the image they project of themself. And he does, in fact, like Meimi back, but they're both too stupid and hot-headed to do a thing about it. / They start off antagonizing each other in their civilian lives as well as their double lives, where Meimi becomes a magical phantom thief who steals back stolen property while Asuka Jr. tries to catch her because the cops are useless. But they start to understand each other in ways no one else has ever bothered to, protect each other when the heists get dangerous, and both fear what might happen if they truly see past each other's walls. Fans were calling for people to buy the Saint Tail Blu-rays in hopes that other magical girl anime would be licensed and given physical releases, but Saint Tail is also well worth it on its own, and these two are at the heart of why.
