It's going to be 25 Dec here and I am just going to post this, dedicated to all Levihans.
This is an inspiration from the Dusty Library short story and I used the translated version instead of the audio cd version.
I just have this thought that Levi could have slipped while trying to grab Hange because it was raining and there could be a puddle on the floor (cue his cameo in the Last Attack movie end credits).
Anyway, happy birthday to Hange's favourite shorty!

Guess who else besides Kenny dare to scold Levi?
So, I find that this whole scene really didnt make much sense to me, especially in the anime. So I looked and noted some differences and putting my Levihan lens on, I conclude that this is a little banter between Levi and Hange, and Eren, yet again, got involved between them.
1) Hange vs Eren
Ok, it started with Hange trying to get more information from Eren from his "Attack Titan" mumbling. Then she tried to get support from Levi and Armin but Eren threw a tantrum and basically shut everyone up.
Now, the sequence that followed in the anime didnt do Hange justice at all. It kind of shows how she was just trying to irritate Eren but looking at the manga, Hange's and Levi's lines that were cut off would have made this whole prison scene more wholesome
2) Levi's attack
So, Levi sort of came to Hange's rescue by annoucing to Eren that his detention is over. Now Eren is calmer but we are starting to see a little banter between Hange and Levi.
"Hange gave you 10 day's worth of punishment"😏
"Huh???!? Huh!?!?"😵💫
Now, what I am seeing here is Levi, using Eren as the intermediary, to poke at Hange's quirkiness. And Hange, who was trying to ask Eren about his mumbling, turned her attention to Levi now and asked what is bad about the things she said.
The anime leaving out that part feels as if she has no capacity of introspectiveness, but yet we do see how Levi and Hange helped each other to stay grounded and focused, and at the same time, adding a bit of their own humour in poking at each other.
3) Levi help explain to Eren
Next, Levi tried to explain to Eren why they had approached Zackley to reduce his detention time. Levi is always looking at a bigger picture and he know that they need to build up the Survey corps fast.
So after Levi calmed Hange down and cue her that Eren also needed information, she explained what they had been doing and assured Eren not to feel worried. Let's just appreciate how patient and insightful Hange is, given that Eren just threw a teenager's tantrum at her but she still assured him not to worry.
4) Levi the moron
Now, it is time for Hange to payback Levi for calling her "Eren's 10 days' worth of punishment". So after she assured Eren, she called out herself and Levi as morons but the way she clenched her teeth, spitting the words and the speed at which she said that sentence in the anime, as Levi is walking away, it is like she is rushing to let him hear her words.
5) Hange's sadness
Now, I really dont appreciate Wit studio for cutting this Hange's scene out. It is already something that she is struggling and trying even before season 4. And Levi's line in the manga that the Survey Corp is now a 9 people organisation and they cannot afford to jail up anymore members, further show that Levi understood the sense of loss Hange is in. That whole prison scene in the anime, after cutting Levi and Hange's lines, really didnt do justice to Hange or Levihan at all. 😤

I just love Levi and Hange's reactions here.

Havent had my dose of vitamin levihan for weeks due to real life busyness.
I always look forward to #levihan content here and that is the only tag I follow.
I dont like rants or negativities. I just like #levihan content, fanart, fanfic, analyses, etc etc. My dose of vitamin Levihan.
So, I want to add this post to make sure #levihan is giving me what I want to see.
Here is our parents doing some fancy footwork in Season 3. It does seem like a sort of long-distance dance they are doing...

Honestly, I think Hange is so loveable and approachable that every Hange ship feel so right, probably except Mikehan cos I get the siblings vibe from them.
reblog for a higher sample size !!
ngl i think most of these ships are solid so i don’t really have much of an opinion

reblog for a higher sample size !!
unfortunately i couldn’t add every ship but i tried to add the most popular ones !! i think i’ll be doing more aot ship polls so i can include more. i might do “what’s your favorite wlw aot ship” and “what’s your favorite straight ship” and so on i have no idea how i’d categorize levihan though cus hange is an elusive creature with no gender to speak of. i might just do a poll for hange ships instead of adding them in either the straight mlm or wlw polls

I am loving how Muse is releasing full episodes of AOT on Youtube in anticipation of the movie releasing here next year. It means I can really take my time and watch again and again, with my Levihan filter on maximum mode.
I was very intrigued by this Hange scene in Season 2 on my first watch. Because the scenes before and after it doesnt seem to connect.
The scene before this part was Armin dashing in and informing Eren and Mikasa that Wall Rose has been breached, then a solemn 5 second of Hange prepping up her horse (look even the horses of the Golden trio must be together), and then the scene cuts to Levi going to Erwin's room.
Now, the Hange and her horse scene, and that Levi and Erwin scene are anime-only scenes. I came to 2 conclusions on what possible intentions it could be for the directors to animate that 5 seconds of Hange and her horse scene. (🤓Too much focus on the Levi/ Erwin scene so I need to do justice to Hange)
Conclusion 1
1) This is a subtle nod to how the SC reacts to Miche and his squad's sacrifice.
- I have read some comments mentioning how they felt that there is a lack of emotion or grief from the vets regarding Miche's death, considering how he was a survivor since the fall of Wall Maria and a high-ranking commanding officer too. But this is where I want to do Hange, and the vets, justice.
- These 2 scenes are anime-only, so I looked back at the manga and note there were no panel which depict the SC in Stohess talking about the fall of Wall Rose and Miche's squad. The only thing that came close was Hange exclaiming in surprise when Thomas barged into the assembly.
- It is likely that Hange and the rest had guessed that Miche and his squad had likely failed. There was no further panels of Hange or the other vets in the mange until that rock conversation scene between Hange and Levi, with EMA and pastor Nick in the cart.
- So, I am guessing that the directors of the anime added the Hange prepping her horse scene, and Levi talking to Erwin as a way to let us know how the SC are coping.
Hange was at the wall with Pastor Nick when news of Wall Rose's breach came in. This was around sunset.
Unlike in the manga, Hange did not attend the assembly. After the assembly ended, Erwin and Levi heard the bell separately (Levi was indoors while Erwin was along the corridor)
After that, the next time we see the 3 of them (Erwin, Hange and Levi) are the anime-only scenes.
From what Erwin said to Levi when he came in "Can you go?", there seem to be some discussion between Erwin and someone else on the deployment to reinforce Miche's squad. If I think deeper, Levi and his squad could have been assigned for the mission but there are concerns about his injuries. So Erwin asked Levi, likely again, to confirm with Levi that he can go.
Now, the soldier's response is important because it tells us that there was indeed discussion on who to lead the rescue mission, and the possibility of deaths and injuries suffered by Miche's squad. The soldier is trying to cushion the grim prospect that Miche and his squad are dead.
Conclusion 2- Now, Levihan lens are on🥽
Remember Levi entered Erwin's room and then complaining that the titans do not let them rest at all? This will make a good connection to why the Hange and her horse scene was before that.
Hange was in the room with Levi, Erwin and soldier in that discussion.
Because Levi is injured so she is the only person left to lead the soldiers (I think there could be a decision made to send one troop down asap, regardless if Miche and his squad are dead or alive). I am guessing that somewhere during the discussion, it turns to whether Levi should be resting or not. Since he was eventually given the task of monitoring Nick, it is likely Hange played a part in this arrangement too, so that he can follow her to Ehmrich
Anyway, suppose Hange was in the room before she went to the stable and prep her horse, I can only conclude that Levi walked her out Levi and her walked out of Erwin's room after the strategic discussion.
Ok, I am trying to stretch here but I want to think what else happened during the discussion in Erwin's room when Hange was around. I do want to think that there were emotions being shown, with the worry of what is happening with Miche and the 104 squad. Thats why Levi walked Hange out, thats why the men talked about Miche and hoped that they can pull through after Hange left, and thats why there is a solemn and silent 5 second clip of Hange prepping and pulling her horse out.
Hange is physically tired😔
Of course she is, and there is no titan experiments to help her forget about her tiredness.
Now, suppose that immediately after the SC arrived back at Karanes after the Female Titan battle, Erwin, Armin and Hange talked about the identity of the Female titan and the plan to capture her. I think immediately after this, Miche was tasked to guard the 104 while Hange was tasked to lay the traps and prepare for the capture at Stohess. Levi was tasked to watch out for Eren, so Hange had, in fact, not rested for at least 2 days straight.
And immediately after the battle at Stohess, she rode through the night to Ehmrich and then to Utguard castle.
No wonder Levi wanted to complain that those titans are not giving them a rest.

The sensible child takes on co-parenting when the other parent is needed elsewhere.
Or, the first and last time Levihan had to separate from each other on-screen. What we see is the subtle concern they show by telling their kids to take care of the other in their absence.
Armin is the best child for this job.

13 red roses for my friend.
I was wondering what does gifting 13 red roses mean and decided to google it. And this is what I got.
Of course, many people may start to think: "Oh, Levihan is platonic, confirmed"
And then I remembered this amazing omikuji analysis, which all Levihan should be very familiar with now.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=e_Tt3us-Lf8
youtube
And this is Levi's and Hange's omikuji. Also, I love Masta's explanation on Hange's omikuji on the Love section.
"Foster your friendship with each other for now"....
I just want to point out what Masta explained about the Japanese sentence of Hange's omikuji line, that it usually refers to a relationship between 2 very close people, with a potential to blossom romantically sooner or later, and there is no rush to grow the relationship for now.
And we know, Hange is usually the one that is everywhere while Levi is the one always stealing glances and focusing on her, whether it is in the manga, anime or official art/ game/ merch.
And Levi's "unrequited love", missing the timing because of his hesitation. All these adds up to the flavourful relationship of Levi and Hange.
13 red roses for my friend for now.

Warning! This is a very very heavy Levihan edit. Please do not continue if you are allergic to Levihan.
I love this official art so much. For one, this is a rare toothy-smile-less art of Sectiona Commander Hange. And the position of Levi and Hange, and their background.... I had to just edit things to make it better 👓
When the hearts beat as one, you will never feel the cold.

This was supposed to be my own internal thoughts of how Isayama's latest information on Hange basically confirmed that Levi is the one that truly knows Hange on a very very deep and personal basis.
He knows she is always on the move and will not stay out of action. So it kind of confirmed for me that part of his speech to Hange in 126 is not just for the duties and responsibilities bound to the 2 of them, but also on a personal level of the deep relationship and understanding they share.
And then, as I rewatch the forest IFKK scene again (no idea how times I have rewatched that), there seems to be a parallel between the speech/ confession between Armin and Annie.
Not sure how accurate the translation is. But when I watched the Armin and Annie's scene, it kind of clicked to me how these 2 (Levihan and Aruani) handled their feelings and relationship in the midst of their roles and responsibilities and the calamity that the world is facing, are quite similar.
In my opinion, I just think that these 2 scenes depict the struggles of each pair, how they were to face the world if they even have to acknowledge the option of their own personal desires.
And Levi's speech sequence to Hange, is so supportive:
- If we run and hide....how are we going to face the world, dead comrades, our responsibilities, innocent lives lost etc etc.
- I see that you have made up your mind.... and fixing up the cart.
- I know you.... i know what you will choose.
- and I will follow you (this is implicit. Of course it is not just the Beast that is Levi's goal, it is like what Annie said, the world is being murdered and trampled on, and they cant be indulging in their own personal desires)
