Can someone tell me where these feminine trans guys with massive tits who wear push-up bras and skimpy outfits that I keep seeing transphobes complain about are? I’d love to see massive tboy boobs.

"Trans women are actually women for real, not in a metaphorical sense, not in a "anyone can be anything" sense, but genuinely actually make more taxonomic sense to classify in the category of women than any other group" is a position you'll find is pretty radical even in queer spaces

This is why the idea of Ratched (I haven’t seen it) has always disturbed me. One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest touches on the horrors of institutional violence and the vulnerability of patients to it into a sympathetic character.
I’m not saying Kesey’s portrayal was unproblematic but it subverted the traditional view of who the bad guy was.
The worst thing is that there is so much potential for exploring the horror of psych wards from the angle of medical abuse, ableism, forced treatment/drugging, loss of autonomy, power imbalance, demonization, dehumanization, etc, and YET the horror genre keeps defaulting to "insane asylums and psych wards are scary because there are mentally ill people in there"

we should just do each others dishes more. there is no punchline at the end of this text post. dishes suck and they’re often the first thing that falls to the wayside when someone is depressed, or having a bad time, or just plain busy. i cannot tell you how many times i have just had my glass of wine or a joint standing at the kitchen sink - sure, we could sit on your couch, but if we’re just going to talk and vibe anyway, i might as well do these for you. it’s an act of simple love. i never feel more grateful than for the people who come into my home and share domesticity as friendship. it’s neither a burden nor a chore to help; theyre not my dishes. they’re yours. and we can do them together.

Not to sound to Calvin-coded, but was anyone else vaguely disappointed as a child that your parents had food coloring stocked in their kitchen and yet continued to serve you home-cooked meals that were regularly colored?
Like, don't get me wrong mom, these mashed potatoes are perfectly tasty, but I bet they'd be just as tasty and significantly cooler if they were green.

I noticed today that the deadname of a client was clearly visible in their client file because it was their legal name, and flagged it for IT. I specifically flagged it as "Hey, if someone sees this and calls our client the wrong name, we'll lose them as a client." IT emailed me back immediately, and it's now invisible except on their contract with us, which the majority of us don't have direct access to, as opposed to their client file.
The reason I flagged it framing it as a loss is that what matters to most companies is money. If you can flag a bigoted practice as something that will lose customers, clients, or get them a lawsuit, that is significantly more likely to get taken care of quickly than trying to appeal to their better nature. I could have flagged it as "Hey, this is going to make our client really upset if they hear it.", which was my actual motivation for flagging it, but if I had, then it probably would have been taken care of in a few days or even weeks, not hours.
Always hit them with the profit argument for quick and decisive action.

And we need a control group, people to see if minimum wage is also possible to live on… let’s pick… the rich! Just for like 5 years, to make sure
there have been 774664 studies on basic income and the results of every single one have been “wow! we gave people money and literally everything improved! crime rates are down! the actual sky is bluer! my (the researcher’s) wife decided not to leave me after all!” but these have all been short studies, just a couple years. i think what’s really missing from the field is a proper long form study, with a broader, bolder demographic, to really get us those numbers we need. a truly diverse study pool like, say, everyone. forever

Guerrilla Grilling
the city where we live doesn't allow public barbecues so my brother fucking welded a grill to a handcart and now hosts "chill and grill sessions" where he sends all his friends his live location so they can hunt him down on their bikes with sausages in their backpacks while he carts it around evading the police like some sort of barbecue vigilante, grilling on the run. i have never been prouder of him
