This is what so much of the United States and Canada (and others) have become. For me to get to school, it's a mile walk, and other than 200 feet or so, I'm walking in the shoulder of a 25mph road, which is typically driven a lot faster than that. For me to do anything outside of the residential area I live in, I need to walk 2 miles to the bus stop or drive. It's a suburban hell most of the time.
And to the point made about roller rinks, I have multiple (4) skate parks but only one roller rink but apparently a fuck ton if ice skating places? Idk the quality of them.
Okay, I know I acted silly about this, but the fact that there is 1 singular year round roller skating rink in the city of Philadelphia home to 1.6 million people is kinda fucking horrifying when you think about the broader implications of it.

Well, both planes and trains are pretty cool. I just wish that we had better passenger rail here

you are going somewhere
in stasis, between destinations, no obligations, no complications, the future is coming fast, but it flinches and settles into the gentle present before it reaches you,
you are going somewhere

I used to like fireworks, and in the span of 2 years I think, I have grown to dislike them (I like the engineering with them, but I hate the sound they make)

In 1944 a kitten named George (short for General Electric) was saved from drowning by a U.S. Navy crew member. George was then photographed and given a liberty card and detailed health record. Source.

It's crazy that these strikes are happening given that all the writers and actors are asking for is less than 0.3% of the revenue these studios make.
