• Miniature rose bush or Rosa spp (I got one and you can keep it inside, water it once a week, they look adorable and you have so many nice colours)

• A pretty wallet and maybe you can put a few giftcards in it and a hidden note

• A wooden chess board

• If you're good at painting (ehh, even if you're not) paint them something

• Get a basket and wrap fruit. Make it look really nice so they can't tell and then wrap the non-fruit gift and put it in too. Put it at the bottom so they don't open that first.

• An abaya with a matching hijab if you can find it

• If you have a bigger budget for this, book them a trip. Write a postcard but as if they were sending it to you from that place. First give them the postcard and when they look at you like ??? give them the ticket/booking/plan for the trip.

• People who love hiking or camping are happy when they get lil hiking/camping gadgets

• Compact mirrors

• Terrain stuff and miniatures for diorama makers

• Their favourite perfume or a perfume that reminds you of them (tell them 🥺)

• Bake them cookies and put a letter of your message on each. Let them put it in order before eating them.

• Epsom salts in pretty jars (you can decorate the jar however you want: pearls, paint, spikes, lace, random collage...)

• A teacup set and then a planned picnic where they can use it

A lot of people take pride in not taking anyone's help because they "don't need help" but the thing is that most people who offer help really want you to take it. They want you to take it because it's a good thing for them and because they'll feel happy having had helped you. People (most often) won't tower over you feeling superior because they helped you with something, they'll feel better themselves. Accepting and offering help is a way communities are built, humans are meant to cooperate. The pleasure of having have helped is usually bigger than what you consider inconvenience for the person. Think about this the next time your friend offers to drive you to the airport, the next time your grandma offers to make you soup.

Okay, so, the colour Brown is an MD, very serious man. He married Yellow, a very cheerful talkative woman. They had a child, Gold. A very spoiled, obviously rich, kid. BUT Brown cheated on Yellow with the plain White, his meh secretary. They also had a kid, Beige. Giving the circumstances, Beige is the rebellious, angsty but highly educated child. Cuddly cats coming up to you on the street, taking off a single glove to hold hands, the smell of new books, the first sip of hot coffee in the morning, putting on a soft sweater, the smell of a creamy mushroom soup, hearing an urban legend for the first time, finding that one caffe with the comfiest couch, the smell of my hair when the wind messes it up, long coats with pockets filled with receipts, spare change, lighters, random sugar packets taken from our favourite caffes, walking on leaves and hearing * the crunch *, hugging eachother for warmth until we walk into a cosy caffe, journaling with a million markers on the table deeply invested into solving a long-forgotten mystery, stalking the shelves of libraries and bookshops dreaming of what stories the books we see may hold, reading stories to each other in a window corner, conversations filled with just a note of mystery, collecting leaves in the most beautiful colours and placing them between the pages of a journal, the lady selling flowers in the middle of the autumn, the smell of chestnut coming from our paperbags as we wait for them to cool down, trying to get our Animal restaurant as autumn-themed as possible, brining pumpkin bread to dates, bringing my special sugar-milk-cinnamon drink to a date, climbing somewhere above the city to drink a warm beverage from a thermos in cute mugs, visiting old towns enjoying the autumn atmosphere upon the ruins, walking through nature admiring Allah's creation, sketching out old buildings, visiting the museum trying to sink in as much as we can................... oh. 🍁
