In Love Game in Eastern Fantasy, everyone gives the "fake" cultivator grief for selling mosquito repelling talismans as protection talismans. This messy man is doing more to prevent the spread of disease in ancient china than any demon catcher. In this essay I will -

Floored by the fact that not feeling like shit really does boil down to just eating well and drinking lots of water and keeping screen time to a minimum and making lists and not obsessing over any one thing and reading books and like not putting things off and letting them fester forever. Self help books will never tell you this but sometimes it just is that simple

I was reading one of my childhood diaries the other day and there was a whole paragraph saying how hopeful I was that my writing will help the archeologists in the far future. Then it proceeded to describe my lunch that day and how my dog was probably secretly able to talk.

If you have a moment, please take the time to support @lamahourani5. Her family has been through so much in this genocide, from having their house bombed and living in a cramped tent, to having to survive the cold. Lama is at risk of losing her son. I cannot even imagine how painful this must be for anyone. Even if you can't donate a large sum, every single donation for Lama counts. Just one dollar from you can change everything for them.
This fundraiser is vetted by association.

it's always "immortals always lose the ones they love!" and never "this family has had this incredible, powerful, loving figure present through generations of their lineage, all because they are descended from someone the immortal loved long ago" and i think that's a shame!!

We should all be less embarrassed to be caught trying tbh. Wanting to be something is only ever bad if you’re trying to imitate others without ever forming your own thoughts opinions or taste. But I have never looked down on people who’re trying to get somewhere or called them wannabes or mocked them for it. Like that’s admirable actually. There is nothing wrong w having goals and trying at something until you’re good at it. And there’s nothing wrong w the initial phase where you’re struggling. That’s the most natural thing in the world

Second drafts are worth the effort
You rewrite stories because they’re good and because you care about them, not because they’re inherently flawed.
A second draft is not admitting your first was bad. Only that it’s worth the time and effort to keep working on.
