The Romanovs.
Anastasia Nikolaevna Romanova.
1901-1918
A sweet mischievous child. She entertained her family with plays and played pranks on the staff. She found the classroom and her studies a bore, placing adventure at a higher importance. When a part of the palace was made into a hospital, Anastasia and her sisters would go and visit the soldiers. They would play games, read their letters to them, and help them compose letters to their loved ones.聽
Alexei Nikolaevich Romanov.
Heir to the throne.
He suffered from hemophilia, a disorder in which blood clots incorrectly. His life was protected, his parents avoiding any activities that might harm him. He loved the outdoors, loved to play, and wanted a bicycle, but he couldn鈥檛 ride. Too dangerous.
Then the Russian Revolution stepped foot at their very door.
The Romanovs were placed under house arrest by the Bolsheviks and slowly began fading away.
July 17, 1918, the Romanovs were told they were moving to a different location.聽
They were led to the basement and killed.
There are rumors the two survived. The charming Anastasia, the life-filled Alexei. There are rumors they escaped, rumors and beliefs that live on even after their bodies were supposedly found. Will we ever know what happened?
