My 5 Major Takeaways
Demo Teaching
As a student, demo teaching has been one of my academic career's most difficult but gratifying experiences as a student. It has given me the chance to hone important research, communication, and critical thinking abilities. I was anxious about the thought of presenting my findings to my peers when I first heard about demo teaching. But as I dug deeper into my studies and advanced in my knowledge of the subject, I grew more assured of my skills. I poured hours into acquiring data from numerous sources, examining it, and then making judgments on what I discovered. I practiced my presentation several times in order to make sure that I was clear and succinct as the day of our demo teaching drew near. I was proud of myself and felt like I had accomplished something when I eventually stood in front of my peers and started to present. In addition to giving me a chance to demonstrate my communication and research abilities, demo teaching also gave me the chance to pick some tips from my fellow students. I was able to learn new things about the subject we were studying while I listened to their presentations. My understanding and presentational abilities improved as a result of their comments and helpful critiques.
Showing Confidence at all Cost
Success in both the personal and professional spheres requires confidence. It can assist you in taking chances, making decisions, and effectively communicating with people. Additionally, it can assist you in presenting a positive image and attracting chances that otherwise might not have been accessible. I learned from TTL2 to constantly exude confidence when demonstrating teaching in front of others.
Unity in the Classroom
One of the things I've learned from this topic is the importance of maintaining harmony in the classroom, which I think is essential to creating a welcoming and productive learning environment. There are several advantages when teachers and students collaborate effectively. Learning becomes more interesting and successful when the classroom is a welcome, safe place where everyone feels appreciated and respected.
Being Considerate
As a student, I've learned how crucial it is to treat one another with respect in the classroom. An environment that promotes academic performance and personal development can be created by being aware of other people's needs and feelings.
Always be on Time
Both in one's personal and professional life, it is crucial to be on time and timely. It communicates dependability, respects others and their time, and can increase output and efficiency. When you are punctual, you set a good example for any meeting or engagement and it can help people see you as a responsible and well-organized person. On the other side, if you show up late, it might leave a bad impression and make others think you're untrustworthy, impolite, and disorganized. Being punctual is a straightforward yet effective habit that can have a big impact on how other people see you and your capacity to succeed. It demonstrates your respect for other people's time as well as your dependability, professionalism, and reliability. It is therefore always advantageous to make it a habit to be on time and to strive to be prompt.
Discussing My Teaching Philosophy
My teaching perspective, as a prospective teacher, is based on inclusivity and consideration for the educational setting. Every kid is different and has a different history, culture, and level of ability, in my opinion. It is my duty to create a welcoming environment in the classroom for all pupils. To do this, I must make an effort to comprehend and value the variety in my future classroom. Knowing that each student has a unique set of requirements, learning preferences, and life experiences will, in my opinion, help me choose the best possible mix of instructional techniques and resources to make sure that each student participates actively in class activities and discussions. My teaching philosophy emphasizes providing a secure and encouraging learning atmosphere that celebrates diversity and encourages fairness and inclusion while also being sensitive to the school environment. As a prospective teacher, I'm dedicated to fostering a learning environment where each student feels appreciated, respected, and given the freedom to develop.
