I'm working on The Scene TM with Monomon and Herrah for Chapter 3 sooooo 👀

Stasis: Chapters 1-2 [A Hollow Knight Herrah/Monomon Fanfic]

Description: From the Dream Realm, Herrah watches her daughter grow up and reflects on her own life with the help of her friend and lover, Monomon. Meanwhile, Monomon has a plan that could change the course of everything.

A/N: I really hadn't planned on writing this.

I wasn't going to write any Hollow Knight fanworks because I didn't want to become too distracted from my bigger projects.

However, I read a fic that was so inspiring that I caved.

This fic will explore Herrah--how she became the Queen of Deepnest, her past lovers, the conception of Hornet (which doesn't go as rumored at all), and her growing feelings for Monomon.

Rated M because the story is...mature, and there sure will be some adult scenes (but the story itself isn't smut).

Fun little doodle of my version of Monomon without her mask/robes. I've decided to try and do the characters from HK a bit more stylized, and Monomon was definitely on the top of that list. I wanted to give her something more akin to a humanoid look, because I didn't really like the idea of her being Ooma-shaped. Looked very... questionable in my opinion.

Also, I have a headcanon that Monomon's mouth is not very visible unless she has it open. Which is often, considering I headcanon her as quite the chatterbox. Add Quirrel to the mix and you get a never-ending conversation between two nerds, lol

Ngl, I saw someone else draw her as a centaur-spider and I've fallen in love with the idea and can't draw her any other way. I also imagine Herrah knows how scary she looks and revels in it. I mean, if you were given the title of "The Beast," wouldn't you?
