This is the fic idea I have where Furina and Clorinde are sent on a quest by an ailing Queen Egeria to find a successor to ensure the fledgling nation of Fontaine stays unified. As they travel the land, they must contend with monsters and the deadly political conflict between Fontaine's factions. In the shadows, the Balemoon Fiend slays the corrupt leaders vying for the crown to ensure the House of the Hearth has a future in a Fontaine without Egeria.

For the first time in her life she needs to answer the question of what she really wants for herself. Despite everything, Sanognomiya Kokomi becomes a source of comfort to the weary Shogunate General while they collaborate on projects to help unify their people. Along the path to redemption and reformation, Sara finds friendship in unlikely places as she pours her efforts into the peace talks and protecting all of Inazuma from lingering Fatui threats.
