I’m sorry, Celica! - A Fire Emblem Drabble!

Peony’s words echoed in his head, and at that instant, he knew what he had to do. After saying goodbye to the blonde Ljósálfar, the young warrior ran to find the one he ended up hurting in his attempt to protect her.

- “Celica!” – the green-haired lad exclaimed as he laid eyes on her afflicted silhouette.

- “Alm!” – noticing how agitated he was, he approached him. – “What’s wrong? Are you…?”

Without letting her say another word, he took the maiden in his arms, holding her tenderly and carefully. Surprised by his unexpected display of affection, she reciprocated his embrace, nestling her reddish head on his right shoulder.

- “I’m sorry, Celica!” – the archer’s words were heartfelt. – “I didn’t realize that, in my eagerness to become stronger, I was causing you such great worry.” – he gently stroked her back. – “I apologize for stealing your smile these past few days.”

- “Alm…” – her hands mimicked his. – “I know why you want to become stronger, but you don’t have to do it alone.”

- “I know. I understand now.” – he admitted, a little embarrassed.

- “And it’s not just me. Almost all our friends are in Askr, and I’m sure most members of the Order of Heroes will be willing to help you, no matter what the problem.” – still hugging, their gazes met. – “We’re in this together. We always will be.” – she planted a kiss on his cheek and offered him a tiny smile. – “I love you, Alm.”

- “…” – after hearing his sin was forgiven, he smiled in relief. – “I love you, Celica.” – he brought his lips to hers, and they shared an emotional kiss, knowing that that incident of sadness and worry was finally over.
