     Erik offered a knowing nod of his head. “ I know the feeling all too well. ” He wasn’t sure if she was like him in the sense that after so much socialization, he eventually craved some alone time. Story of a man that’s spent more than half his life alone. Most of the time, by choice.      “  Double Jack and coke coming right up, ” He offered the girl a smile. He knew who she was, or well, of her anyways. Marisol, an apex escort. They’d crossed paths a couple of times within the walls of The Votive, but nothing too distinctive.       Once behind the bar, he busied himself with promptly preparing the woman’s a-little-more-than double jack and coke, returning after just a couple of minutes. “ Threw in a little extra... can’t tell what kind of day you’ve had, you’re a tough one to read, but I mean, really, who needs an excuse for a little extra Whiskey, right? ”

     With an affected dramatic gasp, Max clutched his chest as though genuinely punched. “You’ve never been in an orgy? You’re working in the long place, man. Trust me, it’s… a tragedy.      A laugh tumbled past Erik’s lips, obviously amused by the others dramatics. His dramatic response had Erik’s eyebrows raising, the amused glint in his eye not going anywhere. “ I mean, I won’t say it sounds bad or anything. ” He explained. “ Sex is sex and I’m all for sex, but so many people at once? That’s definitely different then I’m used to, but as I always say-- there’s firsts for everything. So yeah, maybe. Although I am a busy guy, so we’ll see... if I go, I can guarantee you I’m not just watching. ”  Erik chuckled, the thought playing on his mind.

     Working at the Cloud 9 bar tonight, it was about that time Erik did his rounds. Checking the tables around the bar area for empty glasses and giving the tables a good wipe down for anyone else that might wander up here for a drink.       At his last table before making his way back to the other side of the bar, Erik couldn’t help but notice someone sitting alone. Usually, he looked for any excuse to strike up conversations with members, staff and anyone that walked through The Votive’s doors, really. This time was no exception.       “ Sitting alone at The Votive with no drink in hand? ” Erik started as he approached their table. “ Tsk, tsk. Unheard of. ” He teased with a playful grin, “ waiting on some company, I assume? ”

     Glancing over to the man beside him when it sounded like he was being spoken to, Erik couldn’t help but chuckle at the question. He couldn’t say it was a first after working at Votive for as long as he has.      “ Me and orgies? I don’t know, man. I’m a little ashamed to admit I’ve never actually been in one. ” He spoke honestly. “ You’re obviously in the right place to find some willing participants though. ” He chuckled, knowingly. “ I’ll, uh, spread the word for ya, man. ”

They were playing strip poker though, so in his opinion they were kind of past tmi’s. “ To be fair though, I literally don’t know what the fuck I’m doing, so. ” He went on as he stood to unbotton his jeans and push them down until he was kicking them off from around his ankles. “ I mean, is winning by, basically, default even winning? ”      He let out a loud sigh as he sat back down. “ I’m not doing too bad though, ” he said, mostly to himself as if talking himself up. “ Are you just getting lucky or are you secretly a professional fucking poker player? ”

Sereia was walking along the corridor carrying a couple of bags from a recent shopping trip. A new place required a new look and her old clothes simply wouldn’t cut it here. And maybe she did but too many things to decorate her new room, but she couldn’t help herself. She wanted it to feel more like home to her and these little touches would do just the trick. Against her better judgment, she decided to try and carry it all in one trip, and of course, that was a horrible idea. As she was walking she lost her footing, toppling onto the ground along with everything she was holding. She glanced up to see another person there staring at her– her face was bright red. “Please tell me no one saw that.”

     Though Erik didn’t live on the premises, he’d been employed with Votive for some time now that he knew his way around most of if not the entire place. Hanging with friends or not, Erik found some reason to find himself wandering around whether on the clock or not.       He’d been minding his own business though when a woman appeared at the end of the hall walking in his direction and he in hers. He put on a friendly, but somewhat tight smile as he looked her way though before she looked up to meet his eye, Erik was watching her tumble to the ground.      Stifling his laughter for the time being, he cleared his throat when she finally glanced up at him. “ Yeah, no, I totally didn’t see a thing. ” He teased as he took those few steps closer to the woman. “    Okay, I saw it all, ”  he confessed, “ but hey, it happens to everyone at some point. It’s okay    laugh it off, just laugh it off... can I laugh now, too? I mean, even you gotta admit that was pretty funny. ” He finally chuckled offering a hand to help the girl up, “ are you alright? ”

Hello hello~ I’m Bek and this is Erik. He’s kinda a WIP, but also one of my older characters so while I’m adjusting him to fit this plot, I’ve got a pretty good grasp of his personality and such so I’m gonna go ahead and lay down the basics   

Sent in the app with his age set as 29, but asked to change it to 27. Still waiting to hear back, so he’s either 27 or 29 lol. 

Erik is pretty gay although he’s a total dude’s dude and isn’t very flamboyant at all. He’s a simple man, it doesn’t take much to make his irritable ass happy. 

He dgaf. Literally. He’s probably one of the least judgmental people around simply because he doesn’t give a fuck about anything that doesn’t pertain to or involve him. He stays out of people’s business and tries to stay far away from drama, he ain’t about that life. You do you is a saying he might toss around a bit, and he means it. He reminds himself that he isn’t in any sort of position to judge another being going about their life the way they choose.

There aren’t many people he genuinely gives a shit about, aside from the few he is or might be close to. He’s got lots of walls up and it shows. 

He enjoys no strings, casual dating and one night stands. He has no intentions of developing any sort of romantic relationship with anyone, though I’d like that to obviously change later down the road.

He never denies himself a good time aka he’s a down bitch 80%, the other 20% is the exception of the times he might prefer his own company. It happens. He’s kinda a grump and while he is pretty easy-going, he actually enjoys his solitude. Needs it, even. He tends to maintain a good balance between socialization and isolation. When he might be in his feelings for whatever reason, then he becomes a hermit and keeps to himself. Because god forbid anyone see him in a vulnerable state.

He is an animal lover. He is more likely to develop a friendship with a dog than another person, as silly as that might sound. He tends to be pretty cynical and un-trusting of humans in general, but dogs are man’s best friend and he just loves ‘em. Hence his day job ( feeling silly about feeling like that might not be allowed lmao!! couldn’t find anything stating otherwise, but messaged the main anyways. haven’t heard back so until then imma roll with it ) as a vet tech at a local vet clinic.

Currently, he’s also a bartender at votive and he likes to think of himself as a mixologist due to his years of experience; he has fun with it for sure. He’s also got a perfectionist and determined mind set when it comes to work, so he definitely strives to do his absolute best at whatever he might be doing.

TW DEATH OF PARENTS - He’s been on his own since he was 18. There’s a long backstory to that ( I’ll eventually get it posted on his blog ), but long story short    parents died in a car crash when he was 6. Bounced around the foster system for 3 years before his aunt and uncle took pity on him and decided to adopt him. He doesn’t have a good relationship with either of them. He had to grow up quick and learn to take care of himself, so when he turned 18 he left first thing and has been on his own ever since. Since then, his distrust in his aunt and uncle affects his relationships. but he can’t help but think that if he can’t rely on his family, people that were supposed to love him, how could he rely on or trust anyone else? Terrible mindset, but he’s hurt, man. 

He lives off the premises, in an apartment in Brooklyn. 

Independent as shit. He prefers to do for himself than ask anyone for help. 

Pretty honest. Blunt, if you will. 

And that’s Erik in a nutshell. I would l o v e for him to have some established connections, a few friends, a couple of best friends and such. An ex or two, all of it. So show this post some love and I’ll hit ya up.
