As a hypothetical, what sort of conditions do you think an eevee would have to be in to evolve into a normal type eeveelution, if such a thing were to hypothetically exist?

hard to say, given that we have no idea what would trigger such an evolution. i think if it were to happen, it would be because of a mutation in an already-existing wild population of eevee living out in a flourishing grasslands population. my guess is that it would be triggered by frequent-enough battle in years where resources are abundant.

eevee is already normal type and quite well-suited to the grasslands and prairies where its populations have been reintroduced, so i think remaining in that environment would be what triggers not evolving into one of the more environment-specific evolutions. it could even be an adaptation for eevee that are solitary to help them better defend themselves against predators- hence why that eevee wouldn't evolve into espeon, umbreon, or sylveon.

Deino managed to get into the food bowl where we were stocking the berries for the next meals right after I finished bathing him.

He had the time to eat every haban berries before other Pokemon were able to get them. At least he left some apricot berries this time.

I told Natural to isolate Deino from the other Pokemon while he was taking his meal but he felt sad that "Deino would be isolated for so long" as if Deino doesn't empty his plate in the span of 10 seconds every time.

Do not count on me to scrub away the juice on his fur this time.

I'll force Natural to do it , it's only fair.

the thing about absol is that they can sense disasters. and they generally want to stop those disasters. so maybe there's some kinda disaster going to happen in the near future that's got something to do with you?

I'm back from my trip out of town.

What's up historical figures from other worlds, I feel like time away from rotomblr made me less sane not more. First thing I'm going to say is that I found out that "Have you heard of the Aether Foundation?" is the only question I need to ask to my conspiracy loving cousin to suddenly have an entire new social circle to talk to.

That's not the only cousin I met with either, one of them bought me an early birthday present, an ice stone. They're kinda hard to come by around here, and like if you order online it's a real pain trying to find one that's both real and ethically sourced, so Keo's just been unevolved for a few years beyond what he would've wanted. But there was a yearly event with (ethically sourced) stones for sale at it (If you know what it is that's fine and we can talk about it via DMs, but I don't really want to confirm my location openly for the most part.) Anyway, she managed to get the last ice stone, and it really wasn't cheap.

And then. My cousin got it bought from her by a certain psychic type gymleader. (I'm not mad at my cousin, she got something like 100 times what she paid for it originally, like well beyond what it's worth.) Naturally I was a bit annoyed by this psychic continually pushing me around, but she said that if we challenged her she'd give Keo and I the ice stone alongside whatever gym badge.

The trainers in the gym weren't too hard, and there was actually someone else battling her when Keo and I finally got to her. It was their 7th badge challenge or something, and they beat her eventually.

We went up and she made a comment about how she notices we're using the mind-reading stopping techniques that she recommended, and how she was looking forward to battling us. Then Keo and I started battling her, the fact we'd been using the materials from before to practice fighting psychic influence seemed to really make things easier for him. Then about halfway through the match she seemed to stop to consider what to send out next and sent out something that seemed to be a lot stronger? I guess I'm not a good judge but I swear she also used more pokemon against Keo and I than the previous challengers. By the time the battle was over there was ice forming on the ceiling.

We did eventually win, got the ice stone (also a 5th badge I guess) and it like came out that part of the reason she was being like that to us was some attempt at flirting, even though she knew from the start that I'm gay. I don't know if I don't understand psychics or if I just don't understand heterosexuals.

Anyway to end on a positive note Keo has finally evolved! He's so big now! His fur is just as soft as always too and it's so long in places. He demanded so many cuddles after evolving, and it was hard to say no when he could just push me over about it if I did try and get up. (not that I was even interested in saying no)
