Corrugated Boletes are everywhere in my wood. I cook with them a lot but but remove the the pores because they are spongy and can turn people off unless the mushrooms Are very young..

Stuck inside in Erie w/ 5 feet of snow. Time for Reshi. I make tea a quart at a time, it lasts about a week. I feel it’s more effective if you both tincture and do the Tea, but I don’t always remember to tincture.

March Mushroom

I found Dyer's Polypore (Phaeolus schweinitzii) in the back yard years ago, dehydrated it and put it in jar. This weekend my wife decided to use it for a new wool sweater. The color came out fantastic and it sucked up so much dye that the water went almost clear. I will do an update when she finishes the sweater.  

Details: Mordant 10% Weight of Wool Alum (Aluminum Sulfate) and 7% Weight of Wool Cream of Tartar (Potassium Bitartrate)

Note: added a little vinegar at the end to lighten it

Today's walk.

The morels were up unexpectedly I did not have a bag. So I just grabbed a shirtfull, and a couple small Ramps for dinner. So glad it's warm again!!
