I don't know if you're willing to draw some angst or what would be considered comfortable regarding art requests, but I was wondering if you could draw some TogaChako angst. Maybe Toga performing CPR on Ochako to restart her heart.

The Story of Jin and Hawks
I think people arguing back and forth about Jin’s death miss a very important way of framing this argument. In the end, BNHA is just a story, right? So, I want you to breathe, step back, and let me tell you a story.
Because BNHA is a story, right? It’s a story written and characters and plots and narratives are all meant to tell us something. Everything has a point right?
Stories have plots and points, and characters are important ways of telling those points.
So, you might ask, what is the story Kohei Horikoshi wants to tell us with Hawks vs Twice?
What was the point of Twice’s death? We have Hawks, raised out of his identity to be a hero, enacting his/the commission’s version of justice. That he’s willing to sacrifice Twice for thousands of people he believe Twice will help kill in the future right?  Hawks’s life, so far, is pretty sad. He’s basically the heroic symbol of the HPSC and not exactly by his own choice. That’s why he’s probably the only hero we see so proudly wear their symbol (a diamond). He’s the HPSC’s hero, and their will (in his actions).
Tumblr media
So, he represents an arm of the government, clearly. He represents duty to an ideal. He represents a concept of justice, of doing the right thing.
What does Jin represent then?
The answer to that question is the reason what Horikoshi is trying to show with Hawks. He’s made a tragic character who does bad things for (what he and the society he believes are) good reasons. What’s one villain to thousands and thousands of innocent people?
What’s one friend to thousands and thousands of people?
Tumblr media
Nothing but “mere sentiment”, right? It’s sad! He liked Jin! He felt he was a friend, could be a friend! But Jin didn’t do as he asked; Jin decided to choose the League and Villainy over heroism and Hawks! So, to save everyone else, Hawks had to kill him and ignore any of his feelings about Jin being a good person, otherwise. It’s his duty, as a hero, especially for the HPSC.
You see Hawks has done too much to let liking someone and thinking they are a friend to stop him from pursuing justice!
So he kills him. He kills his feelings for him and kills any softness he has and kills Jin.
Now, back to what Jin represents.
If Hawks is the HPSC and the duty of heroes, what is Jin?
The answer is very obvious.
You’ve probably heard part of it in subs! Or just any Japanese media, really.
Words like nihonjin (japanese people) or gaikokujin (foreign people) use it! Of course they’re using a different kanji but keep in mind that very obvious use of Jin to mean person and people.
The kanji used for Jin’s first name is  仁. It’s kind of a pun, actually, since it also resembles ‘two’ (for Twice). And, like all BNHA fans, you know these names are important, especially the Kanji! Heck, Horikoshi hid Toga’s Kanji to hide her quirk and all the OFA users so far have their numbers somewhere in their name. So, what is the meaning of  仁?
Tumblr media
I did tell you to keep thinking of people! You see,  仁 means a bunch of things, but it all comes down to one thing;
Humanity.
For the good and the bad, Jin was always an ‘everyman’; a story of a person who was at times good and loving, but also would do awful things for the love and acceptance of others.
A character that dealt with people.
He could be other men, and make more of himself. He was always ‘people’. And his name just simply means ‘humanity’, as in the people, and the feeling.
We use the word humanity in the same way in English.  “What a lack of humanity!” “Oh, the humanity!”
To do something inhuman is to do something lacking compassion and mercy, because both us, as the Western readers, and the Japanese readers, associate these qualities with being human. Mercy and compassion are human virtues. So, what did Hawks kill in our story?
He didn’t just kill Bubaigawara Jin, the man, no, he killed humanity! He killed compassion! Mercy! He killed the humanity in himself to kill Twice! To kill Twice is to be inhumane!
Slap on the story glasses and you see a tale of justice vs mercy, duty vs compassion.
Tumblr media
That’s the story Hawks and Twice are being used to tell by Horikoshi! To kill Jin, Hawks had to cast away sentiment, feelings, compassion for Jin, and so he did, at the same time sacrificed his own humanity to do so.
You see, from a story point of view, we’re supposed to sit and think if Hawks is right, if there was real justice in Twice’s death, but the answer has always been there, staring straight at us whenever we see Jin’s name;
The kind of heroism that asks Hawks to do these things is inhumane. It’s the kind that expects people to kill the child in themselves, kill the friend, kill the compassion, and kill the person to become what it believes is a hero.
Horikoshi wants us to think about whether having to kill these things inside of you to enact justice are heroic; whether it’s right to kill the mercy and compassion, the benevolence, the sentiment for others, all the things we associate with being human, for the sake of doing what we believe is right.
That’s how the tale of Hawks and Jin ends…
With Hawks killing a character meant to represent humanity, and thus, kills the humanity inside of himself, too.

Hizashi’s quirk making singing in a way that sounds ‘good’ virtually impossible—the pitch & volume shift around a little too erratically. but also, the guy loves making music! he DJ’s, he plays multiple instruments, he writes his own songs, & delights in subjecting others to his spontaneous freestyle raps. &—sure—when he’s alone he even sings too, whether or not he’s ‘good’ at it; it’s all about the enjoyment he gets out of it anyway. he just doesn’t do it around people to spare their ears.
then Shouta comes along & it turns out he is completely, 100% tone deaf. they don’t find this out until the 2 of them become roommates out of high school & Shouta catches him singing. Shouta confused when Hizashi tries to laugh it off & apologize, because it turns out Shouta legitimately doesn’t hear anything wrong with Hizashi’s singing. & as a matter of fact, eventually admits to enjoying hearing him sing
