"Ivan. Ivan. Ivan." Era chants, three times in a row, as if it's some sort of ritual to summon their fellow actor, which makes little to no sense, considering that Ivan is right in front of them. Despite the fact that they've just finished rehearsal, they seem quite energetic. "Ivan, I have come to bother you, and also gift you with miraculous information."

"Hello, little one. What miraculous information could the all-mighty Era have for me on this fine day?"

With a little laugh, Era sits down in their brother's lap, plopping down with a little 'oomf'.

"It took me a bit," they admit. "A lot of tries. It took me hours to get all the letters right, but I finally did it!"

They throw up their hands in celebration, a warmth blossoming in their chest with the knowledge that Till will treat the gift kindly.

"Ooh, but please do braid my hair," they wiggle around slightly, excited. "You always do it so pretty!!"

"Tilly, look!" Era says, holding up a piece of paper for their older brother to see. "I've been practicing for a bit, and I think I've finally written your name perfectly!" They beam at him, the rectangular strip of paper being held by its corners.

His name has been written in a delicate cursive befitting of their hobby in calligraphy, clearly created with care and effort.

*Till sits under a tree in Anakt Garden, humming a soft rhythm absentmindedly as he scratches away at his sketchbook.*

*The page is filled with Mizi’s likeness— the perfect muse to fuel his artistic endeavours. The subtle curl of her pink locks was a detail that pleased him very much to draw, making large swoops along the paper.*

*The silver-haired boy looks up immediately when he sees Era approach, snapping his sketchbook shut and giving them a smile.*

”Wow. Era, it’s so pretty…”

*Till takes the slip of paper into his hands, balancing it on his palms and tracing the tips of his fingers across the swirling ink. His touch is careful, hesitant— if the ink was still fresh enough, he would never want to smudge it.*

*The work his sibling has done is truly stunning, the swoops and curls in ink rivalling the ripples in the water Till would sometimes watch when he stood by the fountain.*

“How long did this take?” *He looks up at them, pure awe shining in his eyes.* “You’re incredible, really. Thank you!”

*Till slowly slides the slip between two pages of his sketchbook, making sure that the paper would not bend. He wants to keep this memento forever— that is, unless he ends up losing it. But he’ll try his best not to, he promises.*

*He sets the book down gently beside him, spreading his arms wide in invitation.*

“Sit down with me? I’ll braid your hair for you, if you’d like.”
