With a motive to boost the Indian economy, the prime minister Narendra Modi has asked all the toy manufacturers to boost up the production and produce quality products. To boost Indian toy manufacturers, the government has also increased the import duty from the previous 20% to 60%. Importers feel that this is a big jump on the cost, but the motive behind this surge is to decline dependency on Chinese toys and increase toy production in India.
