As a former Minecraft creepypasta kid it unironically pisses me off whenever people mischaracterize Herobrine as this big grand evil bad guy here to set your house on fire and ruin your world. I get he's public property and you can interpret the character however you want but it feels like doing that is missing the point of Herobrine. The original idea behind him was that he was a stalker in the fog on the edge of your render distance, that he could be watching you at any moment, that he could watch you for hours and you might never even notice. So, making Herobrine a grand evil force with supernatural abilities who fucks with your world and your builds is missing the point.
