Ruby eyes watched the other take her hand back from his head. He could feel the lock he had on his desires break, and tears came to his eyes, a few sliding down his pale cheeks. “Why?” He asked softly, unaware of the tears falling as he stared up at the Twilight. “Why do you want to....why are you willing to fix me?” Mikhail asked, his voice soft and innocent like a child’s instead of his usual playful tone. How many years had it been since he felt like he was actually wanted, like someone actually cared about him? If Ginger could give all that to him, he would join her, although the Corisca family and all the hunters would probably give them a rough time during the whole deal.
Seeing the boy flinch, Ginger quickly took her hand back. She was willing to help the boy, she’d raise him if she was given the opportunity. She just wanted to better his life, give him things she knew he damn well deserved. “If you do decide to come with me, I’ll promise you now that none of the Twilights in the guild will hurt you or even come close to mess with you. You have my word.” Ginger kept her promises. She’d have to do a lot of persuading with Gina, but she would make it work. “In the end, this is all your choice. I’m not holding you against your will, nor am I forcing you to do this.” She slowly stood back up. “If you need a while to think over it, I can give you that. But I’m trusting that you won’t abuse this opportunity.” Ginger was terrified to being the boy back. Could she trust him? Was he just using this facade to get to the guild so he could take everyone out? Even so, she was willing to help the boy, if he indeed truly wanted it.

Skips next to the other. “What kind of pastries do they have there??”
Nods starting to walk. “I know just the place. Follow me, you’ll love the pastry there.”

Automatically flinching away from Ginger’s gentle touch, Mikhail listened to her statement. Was exile and the fact that he would be a traitor of the Corsica Family worth living with Ginger? A strong Twilight, an enemy, someone who he had been trained since the age of six to kill. To trust her? Mikhail hadn’t trusted anyone since the day he was brought to the orphanage. Could this Twilight really fix him? Broken and twisted in horrid ways, could a pitiful boy like him be put together? “I would be betraying the hunters. And all the Twilights you live with would want to kill me the minute I step into the parameter of your base.” He wanted this, why was he fighting against it?
Ginger bent down to the boy and gently brushed his hair to the side. “No one needs to change you. You can’t change a human being. You just need to be shown how life should be lived. Living isn’t being controlled out of fear, nor is living being afraid of people.” Humming softly she thought over her words before she spoke. “I’d be willing to take you in, if you won’t fight with me anymore, and destroy all of those tags. Twilights aren’t bad people, I promise. I can prove that to you if you’ll let me. But you have to trust me.” She wouldn’t let her guard down when it came to the boy, no, absolutely not. Not until she was sure that he had been broken of his previous ways. It would take time, but she was willing to help if it meant giving him a better life.

“Sweets? I love sweets! Almost as much as I like collecting tags!”
“I knew my parents, but I didn’t have any siblings either.” Smiles. “Do you like sweets, I know a good place that serves good pasty.”

Letting out small huffs, Mikhail’s hands went to his hair to flatten out the ruffles Nina had just made in his hair. Watching her bring the hem up to her nose, Mikhail quickly looked to the side, having previously learned not to look at girl’s chests even if he didn’t mean it. Erica’s beating had knocked some sense into him after that incident.
“Friends who are Twilights?”
His eyebrows shot up at that. Maybe he could fight them, and get their tags! Erica and Ivan would be happy if he brang back more tags, wouldn’t they? Plus his collection would get bigger. He was on his third bag, one hidden in his shorts and the two others in his ‘room’ back at the place they were staying at.
“Are they strong?”

Their proximity had startled the blonde, hence the little flick for them to remain at a decent distance. Nina bit her lip, feeling some remorse for still hurting him and extended a hand to ruffle his hair gently.
“Right, right. I apologize okay?”
That was an original kind of scent to say the least, that ability to distinguish with which kind of people she stayed was beyond normality. She picked the hem of her shirt and brought it to her nose, sniffling it, to then let it go with a confused expression.
“I smell nothing special, but in fact I do have friends who are Twilights… One in particular who’s very dear to me!”

Sitting up, the raven haired child looked at Ginger. He’d never thought of it like that. He’d always followed the instructions he was given, being obedient meant you wouldn’t get hurt. The emotion of compassion, the emotion of want, the desire to be loved, all of those were supposed to be locked up and thrown away. “I only know how to live the way I live now. Who in the right mind would take me in? Change me?” Why was he even listening to this Twilight?
Rolling her eyes, Ginger sighed once more. “You know, you make it sound horrible when you phrase it that way. There’s nothing wrong or weakening about having someone care about you, it’s human nature to care and worry about someone. Being a twilight doesn’t exempt me from being that way, you may have been conditioned to think that, but it’ll surprise you how ignorant you are to that subject.” Releasing her grip on the boy, she stood up. “Separate yourself from those hunters, and you’ll find people who are willing to take you on.”

Bouncing back on his heels, making the heels of his shoes click against the pavement, Mikhail gave a small pout before nodding. He guessed he would have to follow the other another day to find their base. “Alrighttt. Where were you going, anyways?” He asked, voice full of his usual childish innocence.
He’d probably have to try and act as a friend and gain their trust before finding out where the Twilights’ base was. “Are you like a ninja or something? On a secret mission?” Mikhail had recently read a few comic books that Ivan had brought back from a place he had ‘cleaned up’. “Ninjas are cool, can you show me some ninja skills? I think they’re called techniques or something like that!”
‘ Distract 07…. how long has this kid been following me we in district 02, ‘ Though they were coming back from Constance’s shop so it’s possible the kid could really be lost and followed them. Sighing they removed their hands from their pockets leaving their knife in it’s place, they couldn’t just leave him here they were only a block from Bastard and close to district 01. Sighing as they rubbed the back of their necked, the look on the tags face softened a bit.
“ Alright I’ll take you back to the old woman’s shop, but we’re taking the back way, got it? “ Miku gave them a soft look till they asked the kid if they understood then shot them a stern stare for a moment, the twilight doesn’t like to play stupid games. Not to mention it’s going to be curfew in a few hours and they were suppose to be back for work in an hour… which now they’ll be late to. Though it’s not the first time they’ve gone out without an escort and didn’t come back till very late, so not to big of a deal, ‘ Hopefully Ginger and Gina won’t find out. Or they’ll understand… mostly Ginger-she’ll understand. ‘

Of course the tags had a symbolic meaning for the demented child. They held a certain meaning to him, a meaning that helped keep the little sane he had left. Collecting them and keeping them, he could keep them, unlike everything that he couldn’t hold onto. They wouldn’t slip through his fingers and leave him. A meaning that the child was too young to understand, too broken to let go of.
“The tags stay with me. They’re mine.”
Just for the tags…? It couldn’t possibly be just that, anyone could kill for tags but— what was the fuel to the fire? Alex wouldn’t understand in the slightest, hell, she didn’t know much about Twilights as well. There were all so different and she had much more to learn. But this, this was something she couldn’t ever think of a reason for.
“But…what do the tags do for you in return? Surely reason can’t just be for them to be there…”

To think that a Twilight of all people would be talking to him about his desires. He truly was a pitiful child. A dissapointment. “Yeah? Who would be willing to take me in? Give me the security and love that you think I want?” Mikhail asked, hand clenching into fists when Ginger tightened the grip on his wrists. “Tell me who would be willing to taking a pitiful child like me?”
She glared down at the boy as she tighten her grip on his wrists. “Normal or not, everyone deserves that kind of security.” Ginger could relate, she once felt the same way, the place they were in didn’t make the feelings any better. “So this world is cruel, so this city is shit, it may surprise you to discover that some people are willing to try to give you that security you won’t openly admit that you want. And I know you want it.”

“You’re wrong. I am a tool. That’s what I am now. You can’t change that. Neither can I.” Letting out a crazed laugh and dragging his fingertips down the ground he was pressed against, Mikhail turned his head to look at Ginger. “That’s ideal, isn’t it? To be loved, to feel safe, don’t make me sound like a Normal.” It was what he wanted though, she wasn’t wrong. He wanted that, but he knew he would never be able to live that kind of life. Not in this cruel world.
“You’re just a kid. You should be attending school, making friends, playing with kids your own age.” She relaxed her leg carefully, relieving some of the pressure she was putting on his back. “You should feel safe, be taken care of, living in a loving environment, not this. You’re not a tool of destruction, you’re a human being.” Her tone and pitch never faulted, although she did speak a bit gentler.

Flinching away from the Twilight’s fingers that began to run through his hair, Mikhail felt a surge of panic run through his body. He wasn’t supposed to have this longing feeling. He banged his fist on the ground hard, but not hard enough to crack it in any way. “Tell me then, what kind of life should I lead instead?”
She heard the boy whisper, but she couldn’t exactly make out what he said. Ginger grew concerned when the boy didn’t attempt to fight back, or get up, she wasn’t hurting him, or putting too much pressure on his back.. so why wasn’t he moving? She hesitated before she gently ran her fingers through the boys hair. “I just want to help you Mikhail. You have your whole life in front of you. This isn’t the type of life you should lead.”

Easily being pushed down to the ground and held there, Mikhail didn’t even struggle. He had failed again. He had let his emotions take the best of him. They wouldn’t let this slide this time since he wouldn’t be able to bring Ginger’s tags back. “Don’t touch me.” He whispered, eyes wide and glossy. He was upset already from being easily defeated and from losing his composure.
Swiftly dodging the kick, Ginger grabbed the kid and pressed him to the floor, her hand cuffing both of his hands behind his back as her knee pressed against his shoulder blades. “Relax kid, I’m not trying to upset you.” The kid was still able to show emotion, definitely not as numb as Erica. “Fighting me won’t do you any good.”

“You are wrong!” Sending a swift kick at toward Ginger’s head, Mikhail’s was filling up with all the thoughts he had locked away long ago. This Twilight’s stupid words had triggered something in his head, something he thought he had thrown away. “I’m not pitiful. I’m not.”
Ginger didn’t move. She stayed stoic and still as the boys anger started to flow. It was evident that the boy did have pent up anger, and was upset. Ginger didn’t want to push him, but maybe helping him get this out could result in something good.
“So I’m not wrong.”

“Shut up!” Stomping his foot hard enough to leave quite a big indent through the floor, Mikhail glared at Ginger, ruby eyes flashing with anger. “Just...shut up!” He growled, fists clenching hard enough to turn the skin on his knuckles even whiter than they were.
He didn’t need to be reminded of how messed up his life was. How ruined he was. How much blood stained his scarred up hands. Mikhail had decided long ago to stop resisting the horrid life he lived and just accept it. Accept becoming just as twisted and monstrous as the people who created his fate were.
Leaning against the wall, Ginger blinked. “Because it’s not your fault you are the way you are.” She slid her hands into her pants pockets as she continued to look at the boy.
“You’re right, I don’t know what you’ve been through, but I know who you work for and I know for a fact that no one under their control had lead an easy life.” This made her think back to Erica, Colt, and Sig and what they may have experienced. “How do you not expect me to pity you? You’re a young boy who’s life has been fucked up for the sake of someone’s personal gain.”

Mikhail let out a cry when the girl flicked his forehead, his hands immediately coming up to his head to rub it. “Hey! What was that for?!” He huffed, debating on whether or not to hit the girl back.
“Yeah I do have a strong sense of smell, and you didn’t have to hit me because of it!” Mikhail said, puffing up his cheeks and waving his arms. “You smell like Twilghts and I was wondering why, since you don’t have any tags!”
賞賛天使 – ||
A short laughter sparkled from her mouth at the sight of him using the bunny accessory that way, coming to the conclusion that he was a special one in his kind. At the sudden closeness of their bodies she failed to repress a yelp and instinctively flicked his forehead.
“H-Hey! You must have a very good sense of smell. What could that odor be?… medicine?… my shampoo?”
Nina, for the time being, was wondering whether he was a Normal or not, considering that the very brief times she saw him, he usually would happily hold up “his” tags…Something dangerous to do considering Twilights’ reputations within the town and how hunters tracked them down.
