NPD culture is not understanding the "rules" of lying.

It's okay to lie to spare your feelings, but I can't lie for my own gain? I've always labeled myself as "brutally honest", and some people argue that no, I'm just an asshole. No, I'm telling the truth. The fact that it's "brutal" and "hurts your feelings 🥺" isn't on me. Grow up.

But on a more positive note, I've noticed that I'm a pathological liar, and also just.. Impulsive liar? I'll lie and make up fake scenarios in conversations, even if it doesn't actually affect anything. It's just fun. But since I've noticed it, I've been able to stop and ask myself if saying it is necessary, weigh the advantages vs disadvantages, ect. Yay for self awareness and improvement 🎉
