" Glorious Amaterasu, Goddess of life and Mother to us all! "
Hello, my children. I am Amaterasu, Goddess of life and the universe. I am mother to all creatures, great and small. I care deeply for all of my children. Including you. So please, feel safe under my watchful gaze and know you are loved, no matter what.
You may call me Amaterasu, Ammy, or even Mother if you wish. whichever you find most comfortable to use.
I use she/her, but don't mind if you want to use flower, sun, or divine related neoprouns to refer to me. may list some in the future as other headmates introduce me to them.
I find human concepts of gender and sexuality to be silly. If i find a label that fits me, i will put it here. I am nonhuman though, so please do not refer to me as human.
I can take many forms but choose to settle as the depiction of myself from the game Okami. I typically appear as some kind of wolf. but I am still exploring this. My divine magic allows me to shapeshift.
How I typically look:
☀️ PLEASE BE AWARE ☀️
I consider myself to be a "divine being" but I am not asking for worship or doing divine acts. I am limited to the mortal body I inhabit now. My powers are much weaker in this state.
I apologize if I come off as cold or too formal. I am not very good at tone. Will do my best to use tone tags when I can. I promise I am a very caring and honest wolf.
Species I identify with the most:
🌸 Wolfdogs ☀️
🌸 Wolves
🌸 Horses
Identities close to my heart:

Humans will dedicate their entire short lives to trying to preserve another species (plant or animal) or a bit of land, or something someone made, or an outdated but traditional way of doing something even though they really don't have to.
Most mortal animals are entirely unconcerned with matters that don't affect them or possibly their family but humans care about almost anything, even concepts.
The old tree does not care if the bird nesting in it loses its eggs to a snake. The dog does not care if it sees a crushed snail. But humans do. With their capacity to think and feel and experience expanding came unimaginable cruelty but also unimaginable kindness and love.
How curious to be the abused dog rescued by other humans to whom it's rehabilitation and happiness is justice, who care about you more than the ones of them who hurt you.
How strange to be the old tree whose cutting down inspires outrage and mourning long past its death, who meant something special just for being there without having to give back.

Climb up on my cloud with me to glide across the sky~
Hello, I'm Altocumulus or Alto, and I'm a nephele.
This is a sideblog dedicated to this kintype. My main is @xiathiau-myshif. I use different pronouns for each kintype. While I use any pronouns except he/she overall, my preferred here are cloud/sun/puff. You can also use xe/xem/xyr, it/its or they/them.
Some explanations of nephelae and myself and a short DNI under the cut
What is a nephele?
Nephelae / nephelai are cloud nymphs from Greek Mythology. From the website theoi.com: "The Nephelai (Nephelae) were the Okeanid-nymphs of clouds and rain." "They were depicted as beautiful, young women pouring water from pitchers... or as women flitting across the sky in billowing robes."
In my case, I am mostly human-like, but with medium-length hair made of clouds. I spent most of my time on a large cumulus cloud that would never disappear, traveling wherever the wind took me. When I crossed a mountain or high area where my cloud touched the ground, I would hop off briefly and explore the nearby area, using two small pieces of my cloud broken off as wings to get around. I would then return to my cloud before it left the vicinity of the area. I wear mostly white and pale blue and my hair changes colours depending on the current colour of my cloud (e.g. at sunset my hair is orange-pink).
This is usually how I looked.
My name is a combination of the prefix "Alto" and "cumulus". Alto refers to clouds at a medium level (cumulus, stratus), like how cirrus/cirro refers to high level clouds! Cumulus are a type of cloud that are "heaped up/puffy, like cauliflower". This is the type of cloud I lived on!

For me it came slowly. I was not raised religious, though I am spiritual at least now. As such I wasn't drawn to divinity through an established connection prior.
However, I did feel connections to certain concepts. The dawn being the strongest. I considered conceptkin at first, but it felt...not exactly right, like I was the dawn but I wasn't it entirely. I also felt that I was meant to have wings, but no kind of earthen winged beast or mythical winged beast was right. I also did not feel like an angel in any sense, just saying it was wrong.
I also found myself feeling almost...a sense of longing for the stars and in particular the 'morning star' aka Venus as seen from earth (ironically, attachment to the planet and anything that represented it like Sailor Venus was also there). I became sure for a while that this meant I was Lucifer. But that felt wrong too. The religion was wrong, the nature was wrong, the influence was wrong.
Through research I came across my true identity and things clicked into place. Polytheism making more sense to me. The wings. The star. The dawn. Humanoid but also a concept.
So my only tips I can give as this:-
- Do you identify with or even as a concept or even physical thing but feel that you are more of a personification, ruler, representation or creator of it?
- Do you feel in some way spiritually holy, divine, or at least not mortal?
- Do you long for worship in some way, or to worship something else as a divine being yourself?
- Do you have any physical attributes which don't fit existing 'types or any kind of creature?
- Do you feel a particular fondness, rightness or deep familiarity with a pantheon or religion?
This could help, or not, but I hope it helps.
hey divinekin? how did you guys find out that you’re. y’know. currently questioning if i may be

I love that humans spend so much time learning how to and then caring for the young (and old) of other animals that would otherwise naturally perish due to injury, accident or other humans being cruel. That they see the world created around them and ascribe meaning to every bit of life and spend so much energy caring for it even if other humans don't understand... beautiful.
#Humans are actually far kinder than many gods I know of lol#but divine morality is fluid anyway#divinekin#deitykin#factuallydivine#alterhuman#otherkin
