kaiyo hadn't expected anything from anyone on his "birthday," as to him it was simply another day. he had hardly celebrated the day since his time in tatarasuna, && even then he was slightly squeamish about the topic.

he had offhandedly mentioned it being his birthday to kaeya earlier in the day, which caused kaeya to promptly say he'd be back later. at the time, kaiyo had hardly imagined he'd come back with a cake. ( especially one kaeya had made himself for that matter. )

"i... well, thank you." he gives his lover a smile, before reaching up to give him a kiss on the cheek, "i suppose it would have been completely against your nature to not do something like this, hm?"
