Actually hit "the big three-oh" well over 2 months ago, but I didn't feel like posting these at the time and have since been waiting for an opportune moment to do so. These are tumultuous times we live in, fighting a multidimensional (literally and figuratively) war against deep-seated evil. While the 4th of July doesn't hold any significance for us here, it represents the triumphant will of the people in the United States, which is one of the focal points of said war. Those who know, understand whatever happens there, eventually trickles down into our lives here. Having spent the past year providing support to the 2 spearheads leading the charge against authoritarianism in Singapore, I've had my eyes — and mind, especially — opened up to just how pervasively captured our institutions have become. As such, it makes it all the more meaningful when I receive a surprise from these courageous individuals; clearly, they appreciate those willing to step up to the challenge. Shoutout to my mum too, who spent a fortune on ordering a feast for me, and who's still willing to put up with my intermittent bullshit even after all these years. The last photo best depicts my frame of mind, for which I can confidently state: this year's celebration eclipses all prior ones, even that of 2021's, which I at the time claimed was the "best I've had in years"! P.S. Thanks @peikai for nailing it with the cake, since you miraculously ended up with my favourite flavour! https://www.instagram.com/p/Cfmhsv7h5_E/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Got hold of this literal spread of magazines all thanks to a generous donation from a like-minded petrolhead colleague. Just a matter of time before I earn my way into the bylines, mastheads and eventually, editor's notes of these publications, bar Vogue. 2020 has been an absolute rollercoaster of a year, as the world recovers from a depression — both literally and figuratively. This only makes festive occasions all the more precious, as we realise who the most important people in our lives are: family. Being the only immediate kin I have, my mother has been the person I've spent the most time with over the last few years. This year has made that the case even more so, due to us being responsible people and staying home almost 24/7. Taking the time to head out to Chinatown was a welcome break from the routine of staying home, made even more special by her agreeing to be photographed — trust me, this is especially rare. As such, I'll be spending this Mid-Autumn Festival 2020 with the most important person in my life, as she rounds out her last few decades here with me. @Chinatown_Festivals #ChinatownMAF2020 #SingapoRediscovers #ChinatownSG (at Home is where the heart is) https://www.instagram.com/p/CFpVHRnFkpK/?igshid=152dol35v9tml

Holden Time Attack Concept Racer, 2018. A virtual electric track-car concept created by Holden in Australia to commemorate their first win at the Bathurst endurance race in 1968. Powered by 4 electric motors with a total output of 1341 hp, the car would be able to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 1.25 seconds and have a top speed of 480 km/h (298 mph). Holden estimates the Time Attack Concept could lap Bathurst’s Mount Panorama circuit in 1:29.30. The official fastest lap around the circuit is a 2:01.567, set by Shane Van Gisbergen in the McLaren 650S GT3 racer, however an unofficial record was set by Jenson Button in a McLaren MP4-23 F1 car in 2011 with a time of 1:48.8.
