RED THUNDER:
Sarah (Allie Grant, "Weeds"), a nerdy teenager, needs her mom's brand new car to go on a date with Danny (Miles Heizer "Parenthood"), the boy she is in love with. Her mom, Dr. Thun (Karen Strassman, "Silicon Valley"), an absent minded Podiatrist is concerned about Sarah driving by the dangerous streets of downtown Los Angeles. She tells her daughter she may need her car if one of her patients has an emergency, but Sarah doesn't buy it. After all Dr. Thun is just a Podiatrist... Sarah receives a message from Danny asking if she is going to pick him up and she decides to disobey her mom and steal the car. Little does she know the vehicle is actually part of a secret Dr. Thun keeps and this discovery will change Sarah's life forever... Directed by Alvaro Ron

“Can’t Wear A Wig Forever” by my hommie Victorious De Costa. This is a documentary I look forward to showing this year at the East New York Film Festival. A real Brooklyn born and bred artist.
Out of work, out of benefits and almost out of hope, a young woman recants her journey which begins with the promises of education and ends with the changing of her self in a personal way. The trauma of unemployment leads to Karimah's undecided, yet conversation worthy, concerns about gender inequality in the workplace and prejudicial hiring practices. Can't Wear A Wig Forever is beyond all, an acknowledgement of the long lasting effects of 'The Great Recession" even in a time when Americans are told everything is back to normal.

This is the only animated we have received so far to the East New York Film Festival.
Directed by Danielle Paulet. The Storyteller is “A magical storytelling deer finds himself in an encroaching city where distracted people don't seem to be interested in his magic or his stories.
