Grian offering to sacrifice himself for Joel was very sweet but can we talk about Grian surviving being knocked off the tower and then yelling “I’M NOT GOING OUT LIKE THAT. NOT LIKE SKIZZ, NOT LIKE MUMBO, NOT ON THAT TOWER!”

Grian The Reversed Sun: Card of false optimism, the illusion of double victory that they could never have, the echo of its time a tragedy pathed with love;

Scott The Upright Star: Card of faith, a champion raised from alliance of trust, first of the place of healing from betrayals, a testament to his skills;

Pearl The Upright Moon: Card of complicated relationships, of the pair that never was, of the story cut too short, a story that didn't bloom, uncertain they stood victorious and still apart;

Martyn The Upright Tower, the card of violence, a winner of swift end, chaos and destruction, untrustworthy force that plays dirty, shifting the perception of one in the eye of the audience, the song of betrayal in the middle of madness;

Scar The Reversed Devil, the card of independence, the one who's been forced to stay alone, seen as liability, takes the spot as the survivor, after a season of isolation he reclaims control of his own narrative showing his true power;

Joel The Reversed Temperance, the card of imbalance, in the world of discord he thrives, a wild card of his own, the story of recklessness and haste paints the picture of the winner, seeing the warnings he chooses a new path that leads to brighter future, for love is worth nothing less then extreme, he burns bright, he burns quick, and at the end his in a rush, to fight, to trap, to win, and even in victory the imperfection is still his downfall.

thinking about how etho spent the entire season trying to weasel his way into as many groups as he could, but these shallow alliances didn't save him.

and in a truly fitting finale, etho's last words in wild life were "where's my team? my team is leaving me! oh— no!" before dying to his own trap.

Absolutely incredible how a season based on chaos and trickery got won by the one of the most chaotic and impulsive players not through living up to that wildness but by doing the opposite and subverting it.

BIGGEST CONGRATS TO JOEL FOR WINNING WILD LIFE!! ABSOLUTELY DESERVED!! it was so fun watching him come this far, and i loved how (honestly, and i mean no offence to this) anticlimactic his and grians death were. it was so intense, but for it to just end so abrubtly like that is just SO joel and i loved it!! thank you to all the lifers, grian, and dev team for making this season of the life series the most chaotic, fun time ever!!

Spoilers for Scars wild life finale!!

so at the end of his episode, Scar said "gotta go tend to some sunflowers, in my other world" and then we saw secret life Scar in front of Trader Scar's. i cant actually figure out what he said there, but this gave me thoughts. i like the idea of the winners not going to the void after a life series ends, but to the world they won in.

Grian going back 3rd life, to the top of the sand mountain, the cactus ring.

Scott going back to last life, to the place where he won or to the Scottage.

Pearl going back to double life, to the hill where she blew up, her tower.

Martyn going back to limited life, just below the clockers tower, or to the shore next to his base

Scar going back to secret life, to Trader Scar's and the Secret Keeper.

Cleo going back to real life, to the main village, the place where she won.

Joel going back to wild life, to his and Gem's base, to his car.

remember that one post that said 3rd life was an epic fantasy/tragedy and double life was a soap opera?

well wild life was a sketch comedy with multiple episodes and the same characters.

each episode had a wildcard that added an unique flavour to the episode. (very sketch-like)

the alliances were very funky and fluid, with no clear line when it came to attacking an alliance member. (very sketch-like)

and the players' "ehh whatever just do that itd be very funny" mindset, their knowledge of the meta, them having the silliest interactions ever really solidified it for me (extremely sketch-like)

also joels general unserious attitude and his symbol being a fucking car. (best piece of fanon lore we ever had fr fr) (also extremely sketch-like)
