How To Properly Disassemble A Spell Jar
Retrieving the Reusable Ingredients and Getting Rid of the Rest
Reusable ingredients include crystals, shells, rocks, bones, and anything else that can be used again. Cleanse them in smoke or water and reuse them in your next jar.
Trash
Throw the contents into the trash or a dumpster, if you don’t want it near you.
Burying:
This is a more respectful way to dispose of materials, as long as it's safe to do so. Dig a hole at least half a foot, place the herbs that were used in the jar inside, and bury it in the ground. Make sure it's biodegradable and safe for animals before doing this!
Burning It:
Put the offering in a fire safe container (a pot, cauldron, etc) and safely light it. Make sure it's completely burned (don't let it out of your sight until the fire's out!) and then spread the ashes on the ground away from your house.
Releasing:
Release the materials into a body of water. Keep in mind that not all organic matters are safe for the water or for fish, so look it up beforehand

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞'𝐬 𝐄𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 🌬🌿
E A R T H 🜃
When we connect with the Earth's energy, we tap into a powerful source of vitality and strength that flows through nature. By grounding and centering ourselves, we draw on the Earth's stability to find balance and calm within. Simple practices like standing barefoot on the ground or imagining roots extending from our feet into the soil help us feel deeply connected to the Earth's energy. In tuning into this natural rhythm, we can find comfort and support, especially during times of uncertainty.
Earth Symbols: acorns, trees, stones, leafs.

When we connect with the Air element, we tap into the limitless potential of our mind and spirit. Practices like meditation, visualization, and breathwork help us tune into the subtle flow of Air, expanding our awareness and opening up new possibilities. Meditation, in particular, quiets the mind's chatter, allowing us to focus on our breath and find inner peace and clarity. By paying attention to the gentle rise and fall of our breath, we ground ourselves in the present moment and nurture a deep sense of mindfulness.
Air Symbols: feathers, birds, wings, sword

When we connect with the Water element, we dive deep into the flow of our emotions and intuition, letting ourselves be gently guided by the currents of our subconscious mind. To deepen this connection, spending time near water can be incredibly powerful. Whether you're sitting by a river, taking a bath, or simply drinking a glass of water with intention, you can feel the influence of Water. When we immerse ourselves in water or let its flow wash over us, we allow our emotions to flow freely and surrender to the natural rhythm of life. This opens us to the transformative energy of Water, helping us embrace our inner mysteries and move gracefully through life's changes.
Water Symbols: sea shells, water waves, dolphin, pearl

When we connect with the Fire element, we tap into the fiery depths of our soul, awakening our deepest desires and aspirations. Practices like ritualized burning, candle magic, and sun gazing help us align with Fire's transformative energy, igniting the flame of our true purpose. Ritualized burning is a powerful way to work with Fire's energy. It allows us to release what no longer serves us, creating space for new growth and transformation. By writing down our fears, doubts, and limiting beliefs on paper and then burning it in a sacred fire, we symbolically free ourselves from their grip, clearing the path for fresh starts and new beginnings.
Fire symbols: fire, torchs, dragons, garnet

How to Enchant Items 🔮
To enchant an item is to infuse it with magickal energy. This energy can come from a variety of sources, including celestial bodies, elements, crystals, herbs, or even yourself.
Some individuals use the words “enchant” and “charm” synonymously as a way to describe the process of infusing something with energy, but for the sake of this post and due to my own beliefs, you enchant something and it then becomes a charm. Alternately, a charm can be something with its own innate energy, like a crystal or herbal amulet.
Enchanting items to turn them into magickal objects involves more than just intent - you must learn to channel and manipulate energy, and direct it into that item for enchanting to be successful.
Although, the process of enchanting is extremely versatile and there are many ways to do it.
Here are a few ideas on how to enchant items, in no particular order:
Surround the item with crystals of corresponding intent
Surround the item with herbs of corresponding intent
Place the item in a jar filled with herbs that represent your intent
Place the item in front of a candle and meditate on your intent
Anoint the item with an oil, charged water, or crystal elixir of corresponding intent
Hold the item in your hand(s) and visualize it filling with the appropriate energy
Hold the item in your hand(s) and speak or sing your intent aloud
Craft a symbol to keep near the item in an envelope or sachet
Sew, stitch, or carve a symbol into the item
Write your intention on paper and keep in an envelope with the item
Pair the item with a corresponding runestone or tarot / oracle card in an envelope
Take the item and put it in a box with other items that represent your intent such as crystals, herbs, talismans, amulets, etc.
Bury the item in soil with herbs and/or crystals that match your intent (please don’t put salt on your lawn though, unless you want dead grass)
Pass the item through incense smoke that matches your intent
Pro Tip: Time your enchantments with the appropriate planetary hour, day of the week, time of day, or lunar phase to increase your chances of creating a successful charm.

Spell Bags
What Are Spell Bags?
Spell Bags are usually small bags that contain a range of ingredients linked to the intention of your spell. They can sometimes be known as different names, or have slight cultural differences. For the purpose of this post I will refer to a spell bag, but they may also be called spell sachets, charm bags, and in some cultures, mojo bags (please do your own research). You can also make spell jars, which are pretty much the same, only you use a jar and not a bag.
Bag Colors
Gold - wealth, protection, the God Silver - prosperity, the moon, the Goddess Yellow - healing Orange - travel, communication, messages Green - nature, growth, prosperity, abundance, friendship Blue - peace, calm, wisdom, benevolence Purple - wisdom, wealth, grandeur, mysteries, justice Red - success, romance, strength, protection Pink - love, healing, friendship Black - absorbs negative energy
How to Make a Spell Bag
Think about your intention for making the spell bag… Why are you making it?… What do you want to get from it?
Think about ingredients you want to put into the spell bag and their correspondences… What ingredients will fit into your spell bag?… What specific ingredients are associated with your intentions (for example, what herbs are used for protection)
Collect your bag and ingredients, and focus your intent on each of them. You may also want to write a magickal chant. This can be simply read out, or written down to leave inside the spell bag.
Assemble your spell bag.
Spend time either meditating on your intention, or reciting your magickal chant.
Find a place to put your spell bag. This may simply be on your altar, or in your pocket. Alternatively, there may be a specific place you want to put it (such as by your bed for a sleep spell bag, or in the corner of your room for protection).

Beginner Witch Things to Research
So many older - more experienced - witches tell beginner - baby - witches to start with researching things like protection spells, grounding, cleansing and warding but what do you research afterward? These are just a few things that I would recommend every individual to research, regardless of how experienced you may think you are.
Carl Jung's Map of the Soul This is where the archetypes stem from, a what a lot of witches dread doing - Shadow Work. Shadow Work is uncovering not just traumatic ventures of our pasts but also revealing what made and makes us who we are today. Studying where it all started makes working through your own shadow a lot less stressful and a lot hammering on the soul, it also leads to a lot less martyrdom in the spiritual community.
Honing in on your psychic abilities and Intuition Gaining the ability is easy, everyone has these abilities, you just have to work to get them to where you want them to be. Remember a spiritual practice is still a practice, you have to put in the effort to get better, just as you would a physical sport or an instrument.
Egregores and Amalgamations vs. Deitys vs. Pop Culture Deitys Egregores and amalgamations exist solely in the astral plane and can (and will) mimic, imitate, and parody deities. Being able to decern these, especially with your intuition will always provide useful. Learning that Lucifer from Dantes' Inferno is reaching out to you versus aspected, epithetic source Lucifer will give you a much better relationship and outcome in your practice.
Deity Work vs. Deity Worship Offering play a key role when learning to decern these from each other. You can in fact, do both, but be warned deities get jealous of each other.
Find what you love and surround yourself with it Incorporating things that you love into your practice and not actually doing what you love about your practice is one of the key differences I saw in my practice when I learned how to differentiate them. I found incoporating pop culture media into my practice made me get burnout from both that piece of pop culture and my spiritual practices.
Finding a form of divination that you are most comfortable with Everyone likes using cartomancy, divination using cards or pieces of paper, is the most common form of divination, but learning your favorite form of divination will help avoid burnout and creating tension for yourself in your practice.

How We Can Normalize Emotions:
♡ Allowing 'Cool Down' Or 'Self Regulation' Breaks In School And Work Spaces
♡ Normalizing The Use Of Fidget Tools, Sensory Tools, And Emotional Regulation Techniques In Public, Work, And School Environments
♡ DO NOT JUDGE. If Someone Is Having Big Emotions Around You, As Long As They Are Not Harming Or Attacking Anyone, Then It Is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS
♡ Be Mindful Of Others, If You Do Not Wish To Be Mindful Of Them Then Do Not Be Around Them
♡ Implementing Better Emergency Service System For People In Need
♡ Allowing People To Have A Space Where They Can Be Themselves, Feel, And Express Themselves Free Of Judgement (Obviously As Long As They Are Not Harming People)
♡ Letting ALL People Have Emotions. No Matter What Age, Race, Gender/Identity, Ability, Ect. ALL People Have A Right To Feel Emotions.
♡ Normalize People Still Learning How To Handle Their Emotions, Not Everyone Was Taught How To Regulate Themselves And It's A Skill That Has To Be Practiced Just Like Any Other Skill
♡ Allow People To Communicate In Any Way They Can/Need To, People Who Are Non-Verbal Can Still Communicate, Physically Speaking Is Not The Only Form Of Communication
♡ Do Not Shame Or Talk About Or Point Out Someone Who Is Upset Or Trying To Regulate Themselves. Leave Them Alone And Do Not Acknowledge Them Unless You Ask Them Personally If They Need Help, Having Big Emotions In Public Is Already Embarrassing Enough, Hearing People Talk About It Or Point It Out To Others Makes It A Million Times Worse. Just Leave Them Alone.
♡ ACTUALLY Accommodate People When They Ask To Be Accommodated
♡ If Someone Needs Support Or Extra Help, Do Not Shame Them Or Make Them Feel Needy. If You Think They Are Needy Or They Should Be Ashamed, Just Do Not Interact With That Person, You Do Not Have To Make Them Feel Bad Because You Feel A Certain Way About Them
!! Emotions Are A Normal And Natural Response To Physical, Emotional, And Personal Triggers. They Don't Even Need A Main Trigger To Be Present. We Would All Feel So Much Better If We Just Let Emotions Be Emotions And Let People Feel How They Need To !!
( With Love, Cupid ♡ )

Maslow’s Hierarchy: A Guide to getting your life together
After we get our basic needs, we are often stuck on the getting our psychological needs (love, friendship, and accomplishment).
How to satisfy your psychological needs:
Be part of a community through school, work, or organization. Volunteer at a charity or organization of your choice. By doing so, you can connect with other people, build a sense of camaraderie, and learn more about yourself.
Participate in classes, clubs, or an environment that requires you to be active with the same people, and by proximity you can build friendships.
Set challenges that are within your control and win. Honestly, the easiest way to win is to challenge yourself and overcome that challenge. This will boost your self-esteem. Run a marathon, the barrier of entry is low, and the price you have to pay is discipline. The goal is to have a sense of accomplishment internally before the external ones (promotion, dream school, dream job).
Design a lifestyle that is attractive to others: To have an attractive lifestyle is to be comfortable and confident in your skin. You’ve figured out yourself by then. You have hobbies, you know your strengths, you’re building yourself, you have a passion, and you are curious and optimistic. Once you’ve designed your life, it is easy to know who fits into your new life and only the people who value your growth will come to you.
How to satisfy your self fulfillment needs:
Write down your dream life (I am a business woman, who is a philanthropist passionate about neuroscience and social psychology. I often travel the world to give lectures and I sit on the board of some Fortune 500 companies) only you can decide your dream life.
Break down your dream life into bits and pieces and turn them into actionable steps ( I will apply to be a volunteer at the Alzheimer's foundation. I read books on public speaking, I’d learn about the top fortune 50 companies).
Explore your creative ingenuity: paint, dance, write, practice your guitar. Most times it is during these creative moments that we get an idea of our purpose in life.
Introspect: Journal and find out what your calling is. We all have a calling that is bigger than our own desires. Sometimes, it takes personal experience, exposure, or introspection to figure out something we were called to do and once you’ve figured it, start working on it slowly. It’s a journey.
With Love,
Black Pearl.
