Guy Bourdain

Connu pour son travail en tant que photographe de mode, dans les années 50 jusqu' aux années 90, notamment à travers ses publications dans le Vogue France et les campagnes de publicité pour les chaussures de Charles Jourdan. Ses photos dirigées à vendre la mode, nous plonge dans son univers bien particulier. Marqué par des couleurs saturées, des scènes provocantes avec une composition bien particulière, contraste entre ce que l'on voit et ce qui est caché, ce qui est explicitement montré et subtilement sous-entendu, le tout avec une touche de surréalisme. Toujours la femme mis en scène et sa fragilité, corps souvent innanimés, sans vie, laissant entrevoir l'humour noir de son auteur. Celui-ci retranscrit avec justesse l'univers de la mode avec mystère et froideur, où le sexe y est très présent. Les instantanées de Guy Bourdin se situent entre la publicité, la photo de mode et l'art de la photographie, devenant ainsi un incontournable photographe dans le genre de la mode tel que Helmut Newton, Irving Penn ou Richard Avedon*

Based between Paris and Madrid, the label has been created by Jef K and Rhythm&Soul. With only one purpose: release hot House records to shake your body.

The label will release their stuff, starting by The Groove Brothers EP, with a superb remix by Nail.

And of course music by other artists to be announced.

Tour Paris13 - Gallerie Itinérante - Octobre 2013

Over looking the Seine, La Tour Paris 13‎ is a project curated by Mehdi Ben Cheikh from Galerie Itinerrance. During a year, the entire building was painted by 100 international street and graffiti artists, each leaving their mark with murals and installations within the 36 apartments over 9 floors and cellars. Opening to the public for a month from October 1st, the building is due to be demolished in November, making it the largest temporary street art exhibition in Europe. To celebrate the upcoming launch a giant Keith Haring banner (seen above) has also been erected along the building.

Nice and interesting work of OKUDA, graffiti artist, mixing patterns, playing with colors, filling animals, humans or skull shapes. Escape, travell through the freedom of the imagination.

LICHTENSTEIN - RETROSPECTIVE @ THE TATE MODERN

Roy Lichtenstein is one of the foremost figures of American Pop Art. In the early 1960’s he pioneered a new style of painting, inspired by the industrial printing processes, that would define American art of the decade. He became renowned for his works based on comic strips and advertising imagery along with his signature hand-painted Benday dots. This exhibition showcases such renowned paintings as Look Mickey (1961), Whaam! (1963) and Drowning Girl (1963), as well as ceramic and brass sculptures, and a selection of previously unseen drawings, collages and works on paper.
