Time for day 4 of @week-of-revo!

From today’s prompts, I picked “Flu”, so Téa and Atem got sick, but luckily they can commiserate while Yugi takes care of them.  I wanted this one to be simple, so I left the sketch lines as is.

Day 5 of @week-of-revo!

I chose the Jealousy prompt, so here’s Téa and Atem jealous at each other, fighting for Yugi time.  

The image for this one came to me easily, since I wanted it to be a little silly (in a couple minutes they’ll remember they can just all cuddle).  It’s actually the first one I finished for this week.  I tested out a cel shading style, too, and I think it looks pretty good with my tendency for bright colors.

It’s day 6 of @week-of-revo, and today’s piece is for the Shadowplay prompt!

This one’s a bit looser on the prompt, since I mostly just took inspiration for the coloring from images of shadow play puppets I saw while looking it up, but I think the aesthetic came out pretty nice.  I also wanted to emulate the energy of that one promotional photo of Anne Hathaway in Twelfth Night.

And finally, to cap off @week-of-revo, I chose the “comfort after a stressful day” prompt.  This one was inspired by this post by @deejadabbles about the trio unwinding together, specifically Téa liking a nice bath with her boys.

I tried out a pastel limited palette to try and give it a softer feel.  Between that and the background, it came out with kind of a dreamlike vibe that I’m very happy with!

For day 3 of @week-of-revo, I chose the Gaming prompt!  Téa and Atem become a powerful impostor duo in Among Us!  I got a little carried away with this one, and you might have to open the images in a new tab to read some of the dialogue ^^;

Among Us is probably my favorite game to imagine characters playing together.  It’s varied but still simple, and you can get so many unique interactions out of it.

We are kicking off  @week-of-revo ! I chose the Fantasy prompt for today and I’m taking full advantage of the polyship inclusion, so here’s an Encourageshipping adventuring party! Yugi is the mage, Téa is the melee fighter and the face, and Atem is the long range fighter. With the soft coloring and background, I was able to get a kind of storybook feel that I’m really happy with! I’m also really proud of these designs ^.^

Tea has to keep herself together because Atem honestly isn’t doing a great job at collecting himself. She’s not surprised. Whenever it concerns Yugi, he never has been. He’s curled in on himself, leaning into Tea’s shoulder, tears and eyeliner running down his face.

Tea considers doing the same, but it would unbalance the already unstable situation. They are missing their other partner. And God, she felt it now. She wants to champion hope, but finds it almost impossible, especially with her beacon of hope a mess against her.

That’s fine, she thinks, she’s hoped for worse. It’s just a car accident. Yugi is in surgery, he can pull through. He will pull through.

Once Atem told her that he and Yugi had a mental link, and could speak together through their minds. Tea knew she couldn’t, but there are times she feels she can. Especially now, with Atem’s dread practically sickening her.

He’s so scared.

“Hey Atem, he’ll be fine. You know he’ll be.” She reassures, and is surprised by how calm her voice sounds, “he’s taken harder hits than this.”

“Thank you, Tea.” He murmurs quietly, though there is no hope behind his words. She doesn’t expect there to be any, not when they’d been here before and he’d acted exactly the same. Only then he’d had control of the situation, he could duel his way to Yugi. Now, their partner is at the mercy of the hospital staff.

Its hours later, when she’s asleep that she’s gently nudged awake by the smaller person beside her. And is met with large, violet eyes hopeful and terrified all at once. The grogginess and exhaustion of sleep and worry seems to fall away the moment her eyes settle on the small nurse standing before them.

Atem’s fingers hold onto Tea’s tightly, and she realizes he woke her because he couldn’t take the new by himself.

“Mr. Mutoh survi…”

The rest falls deaf on her ears, and it seems she and Atem switch immediately. He lights up like the sun, and Tea allows the weight of the situation to fall on her. The phone call, the rush from their home to the hospital, the surgery, the prospect of what could have been…

Tea cries, sadness and joy mingled together. Now, it’s Atem’s turn to hold her.

@ygotplusweek day six!  Friday is the fun day! 

*clears throat and taps on microphone* yes hello I am a D&D nerd so here is my little encourageshipping fantasy AU with dragons n wizards n shit

The murmur of voices and the halfhearted lull of a lute greeted Atem as he opened the door to the roadside inn. A few patrons looked his way but most were too engrossed in their drinks or card games to pay the new comer much mind. Keeping his stride strong, Atem made his way to the bar and settled down on one of the roughly crafted stools. The barkeep was quick to notice him and approached, though he did not miss the way the man’s eyes flickered to his sword, then to the crest adorning the shoulder of his cloak.

Just a short little thing where Anzu decides to surprise her boys with a new outfit~

Anzu rubbed her hands together, an attempt to fight off the chilly breeze brushing past. She wasted no time in knocking when she came to a halt in front of the familiar game store, hugging her coat more securely to her body as she waited. The door opened, gracing her not only with a welcomed blast of warm air, but the sight of Yugi- wait Yami? No, it was Yugi in control at the moment.

@ygotplusweek day three!  Who in the polyship fights the most? Who is the calmest? The realist? The doom-sayer?

Atem and Anzu definitely fight the most. Them both being rather dominant personalities is a leading factor in that and often leaves Yugi to be the peacemaker.
