Floral Wedding Trends For 2018
Here are some cool trends that will be in full bloom for the 2018 weddings! Greenery everywhere: Not only in the bridal but down the middle of the table, on the arch, and hanging from the ceiling.  This shot was done for the JW Marriott booth at the Bridal Spectacular Show.  Hanging swings: These swings are the new hotness instead of doing a floral wall and will be decorated with floral for a…

Flowers for The Last Jedi and more.
Hello all you movie buffs out there!  I am sure we are as excited as you are for the premier of The Last Jedi.  All of us at Enchanted Florist made plans and have gotten our tickets.  In this process I had a conversation with a friend about what drinks and food should we have before we go see the show.  He always likes to do themed stuff for any movies he goes to see.  For instance, when he saw…

Elope in Las Vegas The Way The Locals Would Do It
What a vegas couple would do if they eloped in Las Vegas
First off I need to say that I suck.  The beautiful pictures that I am using in this blog were done by a very talented professional photographer.  But I have lost her information and so can not give her credit in this blog.  If you recognize these images please contact Enchanted Florist and let us know so I can fix that ASAP. Now on to the reason I am rising ridicule to put these out there.…

We all want to be a princess especial on our wedding day and who doesn’t love blush and anything for bridal colors.  The Fairy tale theme can be accomplished with just a few elements.
First let’s start with this amazing bridal bouquet.  The cascade style is making a comeback and doing it in style.  The more compact teardrop shape with just a few accents of greenery give it a more modern feel.  This style is common for the royal family The type of flowers used in this bouquet are blush garden roses, cream roses, pale pink dahlia, white hydrangea, and light pink astilbe.

Pastel Fairytale wedding Party
Next Let’s talk about the Ceremony.  Sure the wedding party is important but the arch can really set the mood for the whole event.  Doing flowers all the way across the top of the arch would of course be fantastic, but that can be pricy.  The other option is to start by using an arch that is more ornate than average (most local rental companies do have something like this. If you are in Las Vegas check out RSVP Party Rentals) Always add white or ivory fabric.  It should be a little heavier than a tool, you want to give the impression of an expensive fabric.  OK Back to the flowers,  You still need some!  A central flower design for this arch is the best plan.  This pieces can also be used at the head table for added decor.

Finally The biggest tip we can give is find the right location.  These pictures were taken at Southern Highlands Golf Club here in Las vegas.  With the right location you will not need to add to many decor items to give the “princess marrying Prince Charming in a castle” effect. Look for places with arched doorways, tall ceilings with ornate light fixtures, and of course a garden area for the ceremony.

  Vintage Lace Centerpiece
Gold Candelabra Centerpiece with Million Star
Vintage Pearl Centerpiece
So we all obsess over the new shoe trends.  At least I know I do.  Right now the romantic style of the 1920’s is all the rage.  This time frame has also engrossed the wedding decor as of late.  And we love it.  So what are the 1920’s all about? Well World War I was over, Prohibition brought speak easies, Chanel No. 5 was invented, we found king Tut, Great Gatsby was published, Amelia Earhart flies across the Atlantic Ocean, and of course so much more.
What aspects do you need to complete your 1920’s wedding look? Below are simple decor tips but a great location always helps.  Look around your area for older restaurants, bed and breakfasts or even some public buildings allow for event rental.
Pearls!  Lots and lots of pearls!  Whenever you hear pearls you think 2 things. First the centerpiece must be tall so the pearls can hang.  Second that the pearls have to hang.  Take a look at these two examples that are low and somewhat cost effective.
Vintage Pearl Centerpiece
Vintage style vases (mercury glass, milk glass and etched glass).  Most florist will not have huge amounts of these but they may have some they can rent as accents to other more available containers to give the same effect. These pictures were both taken at Pullman Grille inside Main Street Station Las Vegas
Pink garden roses in vintage milk glass
Candelabras and candles for height and that speakeasy glow.  Candles are always easy way to get that romantic and secret place glow you can imagine in the prohibition age party spots.
Gold Candelabra Centerpiece with Million Star
Feather for the fun of it!  Flappers were all the rage for dancing during this time and they loved feathers!
white and black feather topiary
Incorporate your colors or go with a simple black and white palette and let your guests dress in all the colors of the rainbow.   (with of course some over the top gold accents) Here are some pictures from Orange Soda Photography to get your creative juices flowing.

Most people only get married once.  So most people don’t know what to expect when planning.  Now we can only speak for ourselves but the following will help you make the most of a meeting with a wedding florist.
Pick you colors:  This is one of the first things we ask.  It helps us start building a group of flowers that will be available for your day.
Pick your date:  Date will be important because some flowers do better certain times of the year and there are some flowers that are only available other times of the year.
Pick your Location: Location with dictate how much floral decor you may or may not need. A beautiful garden setting as opposed to an indoor location will need a different level of decor.
Figure out your budget:  You don’t have to have it down to the penny but an idea of how much you are willing to spend on flowers will help you and us make decisions about what and how many flowers to suggest. (Average wedding flowers run about $1800-$2500.  This of course will vary)    We also have a general price list at www.efilasvegas.com to get you started.  You can also use a wedding budget calculator to help with the overall numbers.  We thinks flowers are the most important but I guess food, dresses, linen, location and so much more are just as important for the big day.
Start looking at flowers, bouquets, centerpieces and ceremony decor: You do not have to know anything about flowers to make some basic decisions about the “look” you are going for.  For instance I am sure you would prefer 1 of the pictures below over the others.

You can use pinterest or just any search engine online to start looking around. Use searches like “Blush and gold wedding” (of course use your colors for the search).  You can also search just bridal bouquets or just centerpieces.  Example: Purple bridal bouquets or white wedding centerpieces.  Just make sure you save the picture you like so you can show the florist.  Starting with a few inspiration pictures is a quick and painless way to communicate your vision.  Of course it is our job know the flowers and help you customize them to fit you.

Summer Wedding Flowers In Las Vegas
Summer Wedding Flowers In Las Vegas
Hi there! With summer wedding in full bloom we thought it might be cool to give some tips for those planning a summer wedding.  Because we are flower snobs the tips we are giving will be to keep your flowers looking great and you as cool as a cucumber. Here in Las vegas the summers can be brutally hot.  That not only makes it uncomfortable for formal wear but also not a good situation for fresh…

The spring wedding season has officially begun!
We are going to be working our little fairy hearts out designing and creating a variety of floral designs for hundreds of weddings during the next few months. One thing a lot of these designs will have in common is the trend of over-sized bridal bouquets and full, lush centerpieces and ceremony decor. This trend is a stark contrast to the simple, single stem flowers in wine bottles and mason jars that filled our bridal roster the last 2 years.
This week we are featuring a little behind-the-scenes look at how we create one of these large focal pieces.
We begin with using the bridal bouquet as inspiration for our flowers and color choices.
The key to creating these lush looks is starting with a full base of greenery using foliage that displays a variety of shapes, heights and textures.
The image below shows a vase that has just that.
The next step is choosing flowers that take up a larger surface area, such as hydrangea, garden roses, spider mums and peonies. These flowers do usually cost more, but they also take up more space, so that you need less of them.
You could stop here and have a simple hydrangea design, but we like to go further by adding tall flowers like snapdragons or gladiolas for height. This is also a great place to add in the other colors in your wedding color scheme.
After the design is created we wrap it in ti leaves and transfer it to a clean vase with some gems in the bottom.
Here is the finished floral design on location at the church. We hope you found some wedding flower inspiration from this weeks post!

Valentines Day is the busiest time of year for any florist.
The tradition of giving flowers has been going strong for centuries and there is no sign of letting up. Everyone knows the expected colors in a V-Day bouquet are the usual suspects of red, pink and white.
Of course our creative floral design fairies also love incorporating other colors, shapes and flowers to bring something unexpected to a Valentines Day floral design. If you’re ordering flowers for your special someone you don’t have to feel obligated to choose the usual dozen roses.
If you feel like sticking with roses, put a new spin on the design by asking your florist for different vase options or over all design shape. Or try a shade other than red.
Try something new by asking for some pinks with pop colors or tropical flowers. Valentines designs don’t always have to include roses, in fact you may save some money by leaving them out of the design. The price of roses triples during the month of February, especially red, white and pink.
Thanks for visiting. We hope you found some inspiration for the upcoming holiday.
If you are in the Las Vegas area visit our website and be sure to enter love2017 at checkout to save $5 on any order. Promotion valid until February 14, 2017

This weeks blog post is featuring a photo shoot from last year that we absolutely loved being a part of. If you follow our blog, you know that we love getting together with other wedding vendors in Las Vegas to stretch our creative wings. The photo-shoot was dreamed up by The Vegas Planner and Orchestrated Shoots. The concept was vintage-glam with jewel toned colors. The models in this shoot are a very real couple, Jessica and Amy, and they were so lovely to work with.We chose to give one of the brides a non-traditional floral ring and the other bride carried a feather and floral bouquet filled with drama.
Thank you to the awesome team of wedding professionals that helped to make this photo shoot possible. All vendors are listed below.
Enjoy the images and we hope you find inspiration for your own Las Vegas Wedding!

The idea of planning a wedding in Las Vegas can be overwhelming because of the amount qualified vendors to choose from.
Las Vegas is over flowing with wedding venue options, caterers, florists, rental companies for chairs and linens, etc. There are also hundreds of restaurants that rent space out for business meetings, weddings and events and provide their own delicious menus.
This weeks blog post features Ashley & Ashley, a beautiful young couple from out-of-state,  that decided to tie the knot at the Mandalay Bay on the famous Las Vegas Strip. They chose the Border Grill for the setting.
We asked one of the lovely brides a few questions about planning this weeks featured wedding.
What made you choose the Border Grill?
“When researching wedding venues in Las Vegas, Border Grill stood out because of its great reviews and several vegan options on the menu. The pictures from prior weddings and events were so beautiful and fit the theme my wife and I were going for. We had a small wedding, so the intimate space at Border Grill was perfect.”
Did you have a planner?
“We did not hire a wedding planner, but we did have substantial help from Border Grill’s even coordinator, Destiny Hampton. My wife and I are from California and I’m a bit of a control freak. Even though I was hundreds of miles away, Destiny was able to make our vision come alive and we couldn’t be more thankful.”
What made you go with a white color palette?
“I love white! White flowers, white decorations, ect. When planning our wedding, I jumped at the idea of an all white ceremony and reception!”
I see that you and your wife are vegan, how did that impact your wedding?
“Because we got married in Vegas, finding vendors to cater to a vegan wedding was very easy. Our venue, Border Grill has a very vegan friendly menu. We were fortunate enough to get in contact with Chandiss Olson who designed our vegan dessert bar and made our vegan desserts. We also had vegan desserts made from Cinnaholic. They are a completely vegan cinnamon bun shop and they are delicious! We would recommend getting married in Vegas to anyone who’s looking to have a vegan-friendly wedding!”
I have to say that this is one of my favorite weddings! The decor came out absolutely gorgeous, as were the newlyweds and their classy guests all decked out in white.
The Border Grill has 2 levels to choose from and has both indoor and outdoor options for rent. We dressed up the patio area for their reception using a palette of all white flowers. The 35 foot long tables were covered with low centerpieces surrounded by various size LED candles that gave off the most amazing glow at night. Above the table we hung white wooden planks covered in more flowers, lanterns and LED candles.
The flowers used throughout the wedding were hydrangea, roses, dendrobium orchids, Asiatic lily, white stock and minimal greens for structure.
Enjoy the images and we hope you can take some inspiration for planning your own elegant wedding!
And for more insights into the vegan lifestyle follow Ashley and Ashley’s blog Eat Figs Not Pigs.

This week we are featuring Julie and Robert’s wine inspired wedding which was held at DragonRidge Country Club. The color scheme of Merlot, berry and plum tones was perfect for this fall wedding in Las Vegas.
The outdoor ceremony  featured rented wine barrels as aisle markers. We then alternated chair floral’s on both sides of the aisle. We provided the small arch which was adorned with matching wine colored flowers.
The bride and groom provided the reception centerpieces which were black candelabra’s with wine bottle table numbers. We re-purposed the chair floral’s for the reception by adding them around the existing centerpieces. We also moved the arch flowers indoors and added them to the sweet heart table. This is a great way to get more bang for your wedding bucks.
As always we hope you enjoy the images! Cheers!

How to Create Halloween Decor Using Flowers
How to Create Halloween Decor Using Flowers
Our favorite time of year is here! That’s right, Halloween! We love designing flowers using inspiration from the Holidays and this week is no different. Most people might think that it there isn’t much you can do to beautiful flowers to make them fit in with the spooky scary trends of October 31st. Well, most people are wrong. This year our fiendish flower fairies created some cute and creepy…

People tell brutal stories about the triple digit heat that occurs during a Las Vegas summer. Well, don’t let that scare you. Las Vegas is prepared for the dog days of summer, between air conditioning every where you turn to outdoor misters, you can throw an amazing outdoor wedding without a drop of sweat.
This weeks blog post highlights a lovely couple that contacted us through our portfolio website. Molly and John had reserved their date at the Spring’s Preserve with a very specific color palette of blush pink, sage green and cream. They wanted to embrace the natural surroundings of the plant life and landscaping that the Spring’s Preserve has to offer. The beauty of the Spring’s Preserve was the perfect compliment to this wedding’s color palette and over all theme. Molly provided us with an image for inspiration for her bouquet. We used Blush peony, silver dollar eucalyptus, succulents, cream roses, cream garden roses, Ivory ranunculus and dusty miller. All of these flowers were put together in  a natural flowing way.
The bride-to-be provided vases for the reception centerpieces which we filled with floral designs to compliment the loose feel of the bridal party floral’s.
Congrats to the newlyweds, Molly and John.
