Was anyone else a gender variant kid who realized at a very young that the line that separates boys and girls was either very thin or arbitrary, and when you'd try to ask adults what makes boys and girls so different, or why they're different at all they'd just kind of laugh it off and dismiss it, all the while you were being told that there was this huge divide between the two that you just COULD NOT see, and there were rules for boys and rules for girls and stuff that you were not allowed to do, but no one told you what stuff you were or were not allowed to do, and when you asked why you weren't allowed to do these things they'd point back to the huge divide, and when you asked why there was a huge divide they'd point to the differences, and when you asked about the differences they'd just laugh it off.
