I love Yoshino so so much 😭 at first I thought it was just because I like when girls get to be tanks in fiction, but I think it’s more about tenacity as a trait, and not having a narrative impose sympathy? Like when Zoro’s getting beat by Kuma, the narrative is framed to have the audience admire his conviction, tenacity, and ability to take damage.

Redrew this scene from the manga because the Amaterasu cave analogy is gorgeous, and I need to practice art. Genuinely the manga is gorgeous and I’ve been recommending it to everyone, forever. I’m hoping the anime is just as good
