I love how in code geass Lelouch used the geass to command Suzaku to live. That moment is so crazy to me it lives in my head rent-free. Suzaku wants to die so bad and Lelouch wants Suzaku to live so bad. But well shit now Suzaku can't die. Even after Lelouch's death, that curse will always follow him. He quite literally got cursed to live. It's so insane like Suzaku is mad at Lelouch for keeping him alive??? What kind of fucking dynamic is this like holy shit. Lelouch wanted to protect Suzaku, and couldn't have done anything worse than this to protect him.

was talking to a coworker and realised i could not for the life of me remember his name but i was too embarrassed to ask because we've spoken multiple times so mid-conversation i started concocting a plan to nudge the conversation towards the ID photos on our building passes so that i could be like oh my ID photo is awful haha the camera they use to take these has a real talent for making me look as unphotogenic as possible and then he would say oh yes me too haha everyone says that (because they do) and then i would be able to say well let me see yours it can't be as bad as mine! and he would show me his ID because we are coworkers and why wouldn't he and this would allow me to see his building pass which of course would have his name on it and then i would be able to say well yours is perfectly nice it must be me that's the problem! and then we would have a polite chuckle about it and i would have his name without needing to ask for it and he would be none the wiser and all would be well but then before i could execute this fine plan a little voice in my head went "so this is some light yagami bull shit you are about to pull" which was such a violent reality check it shocked me completely out of my embarrassment and i went "hey im so sorry your name has slipped my mind could you remind me" and he did and it was fine.

I had an idea for a whole essay on why Maomao is quicker to accept affection from Loulan/Shisui than from Jinshi and how that's a reflection of her being raised in the pleasure district by courtesans and thus viewing affection from women as a given and natural thing to receive and give but at the same time viewing affection between men and women as transactional and something men have to pay to get and women offer as a product but I prefer to just enjoy the doom yuri while it lasts instead

He still thinks the name "ghostblade" is the coolest. He's a trained assassin but gets noticed repeatedly by his citizen daughter. He never once thought to send her a letter. His wife left him for reasons totally unrelated to his job as a killer. He's incredibly hot.

yoohan is such an underrated dynamic.

he chops of her head when they first meet. they hate eachother. theyre in love with the same guy. kdj thinks its funny to ship them. they banter like an old married couple. she tortured him in a dungeon. he killed her multiple times. she pranks anna croft with him because she saw he was upset. hes her self insert oc. shes his creator. he begs her to kill him multiple times. she ruined his life and then cried when he died. he signs a sponsorship contract with her!!!!! they're insane!!!

The conversations between Ryunosuke and Kazuma are never getting old

truly believe ryuunosuke and kazuma's friendship in the dgs duology is a story about the inherent horror of thinking you know and love someone and then slowly realising that you don't know them at all. what if you praise your friend's virtue and his steadfastness only to discover those characteristics are based on a part of a person you were never privy to? what if you admire your friend's courage and his morale only to see how an ill-fated quest for revenge tears him apart from the inside, makes him accept an assassin job because it gives him the possibility to destroy something he was never even willing to tell you about? and in the end you see him burn like a phoenix and help him to build himself anew from the ashes, but still he chooses to stay with someone else and watches you leave from the shore while you keeping wondering if the friend you thought you knew was ever there at all

love is war is so amazing to me. it's this battle of wits romance between two incredibly extra teenagers who are too smart and cunning for their own good. but you keep watching, and you see how kaguya is too scared of herself, she's haunted by her own personality, her lack of emotion and vulnerability. oh but she wants and can't let it be seen, so she masks herself in her intelligent schemes to make her crush confess first. shirogane acts the same— but for completely different reasons. he's scared he'll never be good enough for someone as high-standing, smart as kaguya. he's scared of the idea he's not smart, and burys himself so deeply in work that he's constantly drowning in it. constant coffee, sleepless nights cramming, permanent dark circles haunt every episode. the work has to put in to keep himself where he is.... of course he can't let her, or anyone, see the way it eats at him. but they laugh, joke, get petty, curious and dramatic every episode and you see them just be teenagers and experience new emotions and fears for the first time and it's like. oh, please let yourself feel something for someone. let yourself breathe, you two. be honest with each other for once. it's SO precious and they DESERVE IT.
