I apologize for low activity on this blog. College has just started and a lot of things have changed in my life in the meantime. I’ve realized that I frequent this place less often than I used to, so I think I’ll be taking a short break from it. I don’t want to force myself to be active on here if I’m not feeling inspired enough to do it naturally. There are some other reasons involved too, but they are less important - what is important is that I feel the need to get away from here - at least for some time. 

I’m not sure when I’ll be back, honestly. You’re free to stop following me if you so choose, or you can stick around, whatever you think is best. Thank you for your understanding!

Happy Birthday to Yosemite National Park! On this day in 1890, Yosemite became our 3rd national park. This spectacular landscape was first protected with the Yosemite Grant Act in 1864, which set aside 39,000 acres of Yosemite Valley and the Mariposa Grove to the State of California. When President Abraham Lincoln signed that legislation, it was the first time in U.S. history that land was designated for public use and preservation.
