Current Thoughts on "CHROMAKOPIA"
11-12-2024
It has been a few weeks since Tyler, The Creator's "CHROMAKOPIA" released and I have had plenty of time to reflect on the album and the review I made about it. First, I would like to say my opinions have stayed mostly the same. Its a good album but I just cant get myself to like "Like Him" and "Balloon". Every other song is very enjoyable and I believe "Judge Judy" is the best song on the album. One thing I have thought of since the weeks after the album has released is that Tyler needs to switch something up. Yes the music is good but, the same formula for album and album rollout has gotten so repetitive and honestly boring. Tyler once said that Pharrell Williams told him "get older but not old", I believe that he may have heard what Pharrell told him but he is not implementing it. Tyler has incredible talent and could easily make an album that breaks out of his formula but he simply chooses to stay with the option that will make him the most money, not the option that submits his legacy among the greats.

"Batman : Arkham Knight" a Review
11-12-2024
"Batman : Arkham Knight" is the final mainline game in the Arkham series and it does not disappoint. The game features the signature Arkham-Batman beat em' up combat style at its peak. All the different gadgets you can use as Batman add a lot of variety and fun into the game. Examples of the different gadgets are the batarangs, bat claw, remote hacking device, and freeze blast. Not only is the combat and gameplay at its peak but the story is one of the best of all the Arkham games. The story takes place all in one night on Halloween as all the different supervillains such as Penguin, Two-Face, Riddler, and Scarecrow try to take down the Batman and Gotham City. The games main antagonist is Scarecrow as he uses his fear toxin to psychologically mess with Batman through out Halloween night. Many iconic batman scenes are featured during the games story. Overall, "Batman : Arkham Knight" is a very engaging and fun game and Is also the best Batman game currently available.

"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" and Anti-War Ideology
11-7-2024
The Metal Gear series is very special to me as I have grown a liking to the games vast amount of characters and important real world themes. My favorite game in the series at the moment has to be "Metal Gear Solid V : The Phantom Pain" which is sadly the last installment in the series. MGSV is an open world game about stealth, politics, and espionage set in the year 1984. The player takes the role of "Venom Snake" a kind of self insert of the player into the games timeline (saying anymore will spoil the ending). The gamer plays as Venom Snake while trying to complete stealth missions and grow your private militia. However the game is not all that it seams, MGSV encourages and rewards the player for not killing any enemies during a mission. Not only does the game feature this reward system for no lethal takedowns, MGSV's story features very strong anti-nuke and anti-war themes. Many mainstream games nowadays such as "Call of Duty" are mainly all shooting with no message, so being introduced to the Metal Gear series and MGSV was like a breath of fresh air. The open world gameplay and real-world like physics make the game a very enjoyable play every time i decide to boot it up. All these reasons contribute to MGSV to being one of my favorite games at the moment and I recommend it to every gamer I know.

Is "The Batman" the best batman movie ever made?
11-4-2024
Matt Reave's "The Batman" is one of many movies made about the famous caped crusader and it features Robert Pattinson, but is it any good? Yes! It is a very good film and I would argue its the second best Batman movie ever made (#1 being "The Dark Knight"). Instead of being about an established batman, this movie takes place in the early years of the batman and shows him starting out which is fresh considering the many batman movies where Bruce is already an established protector of Gotham. "The Batman" also features my personal favorite version of the Riddler played by Paul Dano. This version of the Riddler is very believable as he is reminiscent of modern day "Incels" (Constant use of social media, social awkwardness, and politically incorrect statements). This movie's plot is fantastic as it features Batman chasing after the Riddler for most of the movie which makes it very exciting. The plot also features interesting twist such as Bruce Wayne's father being a corrupt politician which is not how he is normally portrayed. Is this movie better than "The Dark Knight"?, No but its fresh take on Batman and the villains of the DC universe prove to be effective every time I watch it (and yes its better than "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight Rises").

The Top 3 Kanye albums
"My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" is not only of the best of Ye's albums, it is also one of the best hip-hop albums of all time. This is peak "pure hip-hip" Kanye in full form. This album has no skips in my opinion and features some of Kanye's best songs such as "Devil in a New Dress" and "Runaway".
"Yeezus" is a very experimental rap album that has influenced countless mainstream artist today such as Travis Scott and Tyler, The Creator. This album blends electronic dance music with rap and it does not disappoint. This is also my personal favorite Kanye album.
"The Life of Pablo" is about 20 songs long but it is worth every minute. This album has a lot of the 2010's trap sound going on and it really works well. A few notable songs of this album are "Father stretch my hands pt. 1", "No More Parties in LA", and "Fade".

"CHROMAKOPIA", my review of the album
10-30-24
Keeping up with the theme of media, I'm going to give my opinions on Tyler, The Creator's new album "CHROMAKOPIA". First, let me add that I am not a music expert and this is just my opinion. Now, going into the album I was skeptical that it was just going to be the same formula that everyone is used to at this point and even though it is to a certain degree I believe Tyler has truly mastered his sound. The album features songs like "Hey Jane" and "Judge Judy" which I already consider to be some of Tyler's best songs. These two tracks feature the signature Tyler sounds while having lyrics that show a much more mature side of Tyler. All the songs on the album are fantastic except for two tracks, these tracks being "Like Him" and "Balloon". "Like Him" starts off with a very questionable statement from Tyler's mom to him (Which is not worth repeating) and after this I simply cannot take anything he says in the rest of the song serious and I am positive others will have this issue while listening. "Balloon" features lyrics that paint a very poor picture of Tyler, considering this is one of the last songs of the album you would think it would show his growth. Going from songs like "Hey Jane" and "Judge Judy", "Balloon" is beyond out of place and is very childish. Other than the last two songs discussed the album is very good but, going forward Tyler must change up his now insanely predictable formula.

The 3 Best Games of 2024
10-24-2024
Many games have been released throughout 2024 but some are better than others, this post will discuss the three best games of the year (In no order).
"Like A Dragon : Infinite Wealth" is the eighth main game in the Yakuza series and uses a turn-based fighting system instead of the "beat em' up" style the series is known for. Not only is the game play very enjoyable but the story and characters are very easy to fall in love with.
"Tekken 8" is also the eighth main game in its respective series. The fighting game features all the classic character its known for while also adding better graphics and game mechanics. This game's soundtrack is also one of the best of the year.
"Persona 3 : Reload" is a beautiful remaster of the original game. While quality of life changes were made the original soundtrack stayed the same expect for a few updates. This game's turn-based combat is also very addicting.

The best album of 2024 so far
10-24-2024
As the year 2024 is coming to an end in 2 months many music fans are ready to engage in discourse about their favorite albums that released this year. A few albums that were released this year are "Brat" - Charli xcx, "The New Sound" - Geordie Greep, and "We don't trust you" - Future. The albums listed are very good yes but they simply are not Mk.gee's "Two Star and The Dream Police".
"Two Star and The Dream Police" by Mk.gee sounds like if Phil Collins and D'angelo had a baby. Not only is it a cool concept album it even has hits like "Are You Looking Up" and "How Many Miles". The album was not only released to critical acclaim but famous guitarist Eric Clapton was very vocal about his love for Mk.gee's guitar work on the album. The album caught the attention of super popstar Justin Bieber as he has now recruited Mk.gee to produce for his upcoming album.
All the albums listed in the opening paragraph are fantastic albums (especially "The New Sound"), but Mk.gee has the best album of the year because I don't believe any other artist could replicate what he did on "Two Star and The Dream Police". "Brat" could be remade by Lady Gaga, "The New Sound" - is essentially a lost Black Midi record, and "We don't trust you" could respectfully be remade by most current rap artist. Who would remake "Two Star and The Dream Police"?, that is why Mk.gee has secured best album of the year.
