There was a game I was playing that had a roleplaying theme to it in which one must choose how to respond to their environment to depict how the rest of the story would go and the protagonist mentioned, as she was a barista, a "wannabe writer in the corner who practically lives here" - here being the coffee shop, of course.
In that moment I remembered my calling as I thought to myself, "I wannabe that wannabe writer that basically lives inside the coffee shop because they are so engrossed in their work and have taken to writing as the lifestyle choice it surely can be." The thing is. You either want to be something or you just are. Everything and anyone you could ever possibly want to do or be is already right there within you. What you seek is seeking you so if you seek yourself you are bound to find yourself but take heed as to which self you are finding.
Are you finding your ego's self that seeks instant gratification with little to no implications of caring towards the consequences of one's actions upon others let alone that same self?
Or are you finding your true Self in being a better person as much as you can and pursuing your passion projects so as not to merely exist within the realms of forever seeking instant satisfaction and have the humbling contentedness of truly being alive and seeking out every day to fulfil your life's calling that is your one big reason why you were put here on this planet?
Hello. My name is Emory Faye Emerson and I am an author. This little blog tidbit is my first post to the start of my career as a writer. My purpose in life is to publish many a written work but most importantly the Encyclopedia of The Wonders Of Man... A very interesting 'outside the box' novel series involving anything and everything under the sun. A wise man or woman once said:
There are three things that will always come to light:
The sun, The moon, and The Truth.
I'll leave you guessing for a bit as I here and there leave some art and/or poetry/musings. But believe you me, it will have been well worth the wait.
Thank you for joining me on this journey. Website coming soon!
