Workplace Inequality
Women are generally paid less than men, this has a significant impact on the economy. By closing the gap women could be more financially independent and could help bring down poverty.
Another inequality for women in the workplace is not being taken seriously, being told they are bossy or being ignored when they are just doing their job or trying to help or give ideas.
Did you know only 11 of Australia’s top 200 companies have female CEOs?

The Next Generation
Not only is media harming teens and adults but also young children as they are being exposed to sexist images and ads and believe that is acceptable.
This is happening to both boys and girls; for girls, expectations are being forced on them from a young age. Expectations such a showing skin, “looking beautiful”, wearing makeup, not being “fat”, etc.
And for boys, they are expected to be macho, to not cry, to be “tough”, to view women as objects (as many ads show men doing this), to not show emotion, etc.
