“Waves and Buoys”
Experimenting this summer with creating “path” fields inspired by all my trips to the ocean this year. Using the same block pattern derived from the griding out Olympic Track that I’ve been working with for the past 3 years. I will translate this to plaster but also thinking could be great as a multi -reduction block woodblock relief print?

I’m back ! I took a bit of a hiatus to have some serious spine surgery but I’m almost fully healed and back at it and ready to give you some behind the scenes as I prepare for my upcoming solo at Jenn Singer Gallery. Here I am most recently at the Scope Art Show 2016 this month showing this painting on aluminum called “Leaving on a Jetplane” I used enamel, spray paint, roofing paint, house paint, cement..I think thats it! This work was created over the course of one year and is inspired by walking a path in the sun, under swaying palm trees, ocean waves and fragment of architecture in the distance. 48″ x 96″ 2 panels and now at a new collectors. #leavingonajetplane #emilyweiskopf #jennsingergallery #contemporarypainting #scopeartshow2016 #abstract
