Luke leaned against his couch. Em, his friend. His addiction. His rock they weren’t even together and this felt a break up to him. Like she was going to walk out that door and never come back. What Luke couldn’t get her to understand was he would never make move. Doing that would hurt her. Seeing Em unhappy was not going to be his fault. “ So what do you want then. I can make my peace with you not being in my life. I can let you go. As long as you’re happy I’m okay with it. All I ever want for you is to be happy.”

                  emerald pinched the bridge of her nose , shrugging one of her shoulders . ❝ i don’t know man , i don’t want to have this conversation right now , it sounds like a lot .  ❞ she pointed out , again . perhaps it was the oblivion she had been blissfully living in so far , but it suddenly sounded like a lot she didn’t want to deal with , she shouldn’t have to deal with . why did she have to deal with someone else’s feelings ?  ❝ i’m not yours to let go , luke .  ❞  she said simply , picking up her bag ,  ❝ i better go home now .  ❞ she decided ,  ❝ i’ll see you around , maybe . i don’t know .  ❞

      “trilogy?” maybe margo missed the announcement. that was likely. afterall, she doesn’t necessarily spend alot of her time scouring the internet for updates on the next book release. but, the other seemed to have way more knowledge on the next book than the average avid reader. “mhm.” she isn’t totally convinced.  she crosses her arms, “right, do you have any sneak peaks of the cover art on your phone?”
