   He didn’t quite like this sudden interrogation either, but he remained calm. He knew what it was to want the truth. He exhaled a little huff before speaking again. “ I once used him for selfish purposes, but I am not, nor have I ever been allied with the Doctor. He might tell you otherwise, but he’s a pathetic excuse of a man. If he hurt you, I had no knowledge of it. ”

          A sharp inhale— he really wasn’t about to make this easy, huh? It’s.. fine, Whisper could contain her emotions ( even though she could already feel anger and frustration bubbling inside her. ) It’s just.. every time she looked at him, she got reminded of her failure. The death of her companions. And that traitor.. Mimic. Painful memories that she would always carry with her.

          Shadow’s answer was a lot different than she had expected. Her ears perked up and there’s a confused look under her mask. Used him? How is it possible that he had managed to use Eggman? Isn’t he a mad genius? Surely he’s able to see through manipulation..? B-but that wasn’t important. Not right now. Focus.

          It had taken almost all of her courage to ask him this question ( and she regrets it. she regrets it so much. ) Maybe it was stupid of Whisper to think she could do this without feeling like she’s going to freak out and flee with her tail between her legs. But.. this had to be the best way to approach this— ask him directly and not.. listen to any rumors. The truth was important to her.

          The wolf tries so hard not to make her voice sound so small.. and insignificant, but it’s not like she can suddenly force herself to change. And also.. he’s terrifying. Good thing she doesn’t have to make eye contact because of her mask. That would be too much.

nnnh that sonic x episode where chris pretty much kidnapped sonic and stopped him from going back to his world and sonic just. he’s chill. he doesn’t yell or ask him why is he doing this and instead lets chris slowly realize that maybe this wasn’t the best decision. sonic has so much faith in his friends and understands that chris was lonely so it made him selfish but he’s not a bad kid at all 💙
