I don’t think I’ve ever heard as much ABBA songs as I’ve done here in Australia which I find kind of weird but it’s nice since it reminds me of home. This one I’ve heard a lot, and a lot of other songs from Swedish artists actually.

When I Get Home

I have a small list on things I’ll do when I get back to Stockholm in December that I can’t wait for;

1. Spend time and catch up with family and friends

2. Move in to my first apartment

3. Eat home cooked food

4. Go christmas shopping

5. Visit all my favourite cafés, restaurants, shops and nightclubs

Throwback to Italy

Before I came to Australia I went to one of my best friends house in Macerata, Italy for two weeks with two of our friends. I first got to know her when she moved to Sweden when she was 8 and started at my school. We’ve been very close friends up until this day but I’ve never visited her house in Italy where she grew up and spends most of her summers. The old town was so beautiful and the countryside consisted of small hills, sunflower fields and old houses. It was such a nice and peaceful trip. We didn’t do much except for cook dinner with her family, lay by the pool and visit the town to have lunch and shop at small boutiques.

My Best Friend

Someone I’ve been missing everyday since I came here is my best friend Jodie. We’ve been best friends since we were 12 years old and have experienced all of our teenage years together up until now when we’re 20. There is no other friend that I know as well as her and we practically feel like sisters. People often say that we look like sisters too (not as much anymore though since we’ve changed hair colours quite a bit during the years, as you can probably tell)... Even though I’ve met amazing friends here, I’m so excited to come home and see her!

The Best Food Market in Gold Coast

Miami Marketta in Miami Beach is by far the best food market I’ve even been to. They have a great amount of food trucks with food from the entire world. I love the concept of having a liveband, exhibitions by local artists and food trucks all under one roof, I’ve never experienced anything similar to it!

A Roadtrip to Sunshine Coast

Me and my friends rented a van for a weekend and went on a 2,5h roadtrip to Noosa in the Sunshine Coast. We went to the beach, had dinner at a nice restaurant and went out to some nightclubs. We ended up sleeping 8 people in a small van since all the hostels were full. The next day we explored Noosa and visited the national park before we headed home.

Living At The Blocks

I’m so happy that I chose to live on-campus at the blocks. If I didn’t do that I probably would’ve never met all the wonderful people that are my neighbours. Before every night out we’re all getting ready together, blasting music and hanging out in the common rooms. That’s probably my favourite part of going out.

Brisbane Oktoberfest

A weekend in Oktober, we went to Brisbane to go the Oktoberfest that is organised every year. We went on rides, drank beer and ate pretzels. We spent the night at an Airbnb and went to explore Brisbane the following day.
