Writing tip pt 1. (maybe I’ll make this into a series)

Something that helped me write was listening to music that didn’t have any lyrics so I wouldn’t get distracted. Like- you could almost say that I listened to mood music, because I did. Though, the mood part wasn’t for me necessarily. The mood of the song corresponded to the mood of the story, and it really kind of brought out how a scene or a chapter needed to be written. Happy, sad, angry, things of that nature. Listen to sad music while writing angst, listen to happy (ish) music while writing fluff, etc.

Everyone is different so this probably doesn’t work for you, and you don’t even have to try it if you don’t want to. It just helped me and I thought I’d share a part of something that helped me with writing TWitW.

I’ll also say, if you’re a multi-genre writer- such like you write modern things but also old timey stuff- like I do, listen to the music that corresponds to the time period. When I’m writing something medieval centric, I’ll listen to medieval type music, but if I’m writing something that takes place in the 21st century, I’m not gonna listen to that music. I’ll listen to more modern music. Still mood music, but modern mood music.

Again, this is what I do for myself. Everyone is different. Some people may not even need music for writing. Everyone has their own methods!

END OF AN ERA, PEOPLE

Chapters Forty-Six & Epilogue are now up and at em’!!

Meaning that TWitW publishing is over. Book 1 is finished :)

Heads up, though, it WILL be awhile before I begin writing Book 2 of the Ancient Kingdoms series, so there’s no telling how long it will be before the book is released to the public. I’m taking a break from medieval centric stuff (not because I hate it, I promise) because I have another project that I have been meaning to work on for some time, and I think that it deserves my full attention for now at least. I WILL come back to A.K, though, I’m not abandoning it, I assure you. But content regarding A.K. will slow down in the near future.

However, this blog will NOT become a ghost blog… hopefully. I’ll try to be consistent with posting silly headcanons or my thoughts on certain characters, amongst other things. But please, PLEASE, feel free to ask any questions about your favorite characters or just say anything about this book, really, your thoughts are welcomed (within reason.) I enjoy hearing you talk and share what you think, so please, don’t hesitate to talk to me

That’s right… I’ve finally got my shit together (/hj) for now, and I’m well enough to resume proofreading. HOWEVER… chapter releasing will be VERY irregular, mainly because I’m hoping to have all of this up before Christmas. Don’t worry, I’ll pace myself.

The important thing is that chapters are coming back, and we are pushing through to finishing the releasing of the last bit of TWitW so SLAY SOUL SISTERS 🔥🔥🔥💅💅💅✨💃🕺🪄

Announcement regarding Twitter

I will no longer be using Twitter for TWitW related things due to the… lovely updates that the app has gotten (if you can’t tell I’m being extremely sarcastic)

Essentially, I will post everything regarding TWitW exclusively on this blog once again. Simpler times, am I right?

Listen… I know that things have been slow lately with publishing and all, but I need to take care of myself before I keep publishing and proofreading TWitW.

Sorry about this, but no new chapters for this weekend. A bunch of stuff is going on right now and I’m not in the state I need to be in for proofreading and publishing. And I’m also just rlly exhausted from other things so that’s another factor
