Tranz= ZOMBIE like HIGH Gorillaz THEORY

This is a little different for this page but I think I've finally figured out what the meaning behind tranz is! I had listened to the live version filmed at the boiler room and the title and the couple of the lyrics left me, umm confused to say the least. It had the makeings for something potentially problematic but that seemed off brand for gorillaz, a usually politically left band were the lead singer has worn nail polish . Some theory's I've seen so far have susected that it stands for transformers or transcendental, the latter I like more then the former for the very reason that it talks about dopamine and looking like me and I know about but i don't look like Megatron!

No I think that the song describes a person who comes back from a party and is so high that only the transition of human to zombie can describe this person experience. The song off with starts with person dissatisfied with staying in on Saturday night and instead taking their night out on the town. When they come back their experience is described as, "and your head is caving in" which already gives imagery of undead spliced in with the feeling of an uncomfortable high. The next lines " do you look like me, do you feel like me? Do you turn into your effigy?" Really sell home the zombie aspect of the song. The first lines are self explanatory but the second, I'll give context. Trusty ol' Google no tells me effigy means a dummy or sculpture so Damon is a lifeless husk. The next few lines state in Damon eloquently the paranoia he feels "See yourself with a Cupid's flame, chipped in your head." Cupid flame referring to how intense your head is pounding like when your shot with Cupid's arrow your heart starts to pound but now it's in your head, "pay them a lie, the satellites passing by the edge." This person is so high they thing that they are microchipped and a satellite is watching over them from space. Then it just for right back into the chorus. "Do you dance like me? Forever?" Makes me think of Michael Jackson and his infamous thriller video which Gorillaz have referenced in the past, Clint Eastwood video with their own zombie gorillas. The next line is interesting, " do you look like me, do you burn like me?" I've never heard of Gorillaz referencing video games but I think that might be what's happening here? I have no prior knowledge of this game myself but apparently in the game Resident Evil you can burn zombies to keep them from attacking you again! Also it could be a referring to burning a pipe but I don't know I don't do drugs myself sooo...that's my theory! Thanks for reading.
