I never thought this day would come.

At age seven I stood before my dungaree plaid best friend and judged her, as i stood there in my fluorescent tutu and leg warmers I cannot say that my disgust for her dungarees was in any way subtle so for years since I have totally avoided dungarees. However now thanks to Moschino and the general attitude at Milan Fashion week, I feel that what I am about to post has finally become acceptable in the eyes of fashion. Yes dungarees are officially a 'thing' again. So how did my attitude towards dungarees change? well for starters we have the kawaii street style I saw at London fashion week and secondly my own mum told me that she used to wear rose pink dungarees with a liquorice all sorts top underneath (so I kind of assumed that dungarees were in my blood). Oh and it may have also had something to do with a midnight pep talk with Coco . So after a lot of inspiration and persuasion I finally gave in and headed off to the Saturday vintage fair. Vintage fairs in my case are very competitive events that involve me rummaging through trunks of clothes and occasionally getting annoyed at the lack of real vintage (and chiffon) so I actually ended up in my own little sanctuary aka: Beyond Retro where I found my brand new dungarees (obvious irony on the 'brand new' part what with them being vintage).
At this vintage fair (despite its lack of dungarees) I invested in some vintage rings which adds to my vast and growing collection *sigh*. I think it may be growing into a slight obsession.
