just want the world to know that ive been typing chapters out completely blind, and that ive set myself up for editing hell, because my cat decided to somehow wrestle her way up onto my chest and wrap herself around me like a fuckin scarf. i felt too bad at the thought of moving her away from snoring around my face to do anything about it, so ive only been able to see the top half of my laptopscreen as I borderline lie down typing, inhaling fur and praying I wont sneeze her awake
this is the definition of anti-ergonomics, and has probably dealt me some crit damage to my back, but here's my counterargument:

at the club googling symptoms of organ failure
#me that time my gallbladder fucked me up beyond belief#had me sweatin and tremblin and gasping for air and i was just lying to myself being like#“cant be that bad i am still awake arent i?”#meanwhile the ER and my ambulance driver thought i was actively dying of a heartattack for quite a bit there#in my defense#i was high as a kite on the pain relief they injected me with to be able to stand up#so i think making shitty dad jokes as the ambulance personnel clearly thought i was losing it kinda helped#because i got compliments on being “such a good sport” from my nurses the day after when i was being sent home#which is like. cool. i got a good grade in being a patient-who-might-be-dying-in-the-er#which is very nice for my little people pleaser brain

drafting and planning my little temeraire inspired agszc fic, and the puzzlepieces of this massive narrative are starting to take shape!! With everything from subplots to political intrigue to romance and detailed planning of what happens when and where kinda working out, I just need to actually make sure it all connects smoothly now! but did I also just spend a couple of hours trying to fit in the concept of a dragon taking up fishing to pass the time, simply because the idea seemed so silly, for plot reasons?
