Hi everyone! I’m gonna have a moment of honesty here. This year was incredibly difficult. I moved out last November, my boyfriend and I rescued a dog that turned out to be pregnant in February and gave birth to 12 puppies end of march.
April I quit my job to stay home and care for my dog and her litter. My boyfriend and I drained our savings supplying the puppies with food, pee pads, cleaning supplies, dog food, and everything else they’d need. Plus rent, groceries for ourselves and everything else.
In August we lost our apartment due to renovations, subsequently leading to us moving back into my mom’s house. We lost our home, our dog is in temporary care, I’m still unemployed and without a job, I’m feeling extremely hopeless, depressed and stressed out.
We’ve got 3 months to get our dog back and it’s looking like we won’t be able to do so because of how hard the job economy here is. During this dark time, I’ve looked to my art to find a sense of relief, and comfort and mostly as a distraction as I’m severely traumatized from this entire experience.
I’ve been making these coasters as a way to raise and save money for a place to get us away from the toxic environment we’re in now. I love making art but as I was creating too many canvas pieces, I figured coasters are a way to still create, takes up less storage, and easier to share. The link below is to my Etsy. Anything helps, even if you don’t have anything to spare or don’t need a coaster, a share of this post may land on the feed of someone who does.
Either way, thank you kindly.

Meet the smiley’s. I’m upset because it was left slanted for too long and the entire painting slid off the board. We try again

Here are the coasters I made, as a follow up from my last post. These super unique designs are all one of a kind. I’d love to hear any feedback or colour suggestions. 😊
