A New Year with You [Elucien]

Prompt: Elucien at New Years.

Pairing: Elucien <3 Genre: sweetness

Author’s Note: I had to close out 2021 with my OTP. I needed to get it out of my system.

“So.”

“So.”

Lucien and Elain stood a respectful distance apart, a small smile on his face, a shy one on hers.

They had spent the past few months quietly getting to know each other, courting each other away from everyone’s eyes. They knew that everyone around them had sensed it but for once, they had been left alone.

“Are you enjoying the party?” Elain asked lightly, her hands folded in front of her emerald green dress that complimented her figure quite beautifully. Lucien hadn’t been able to take his eyes off her the entire night.

“I am.” he replied quietly. “Especially because I am in your company, my lady.”

Elain flushed lightly. She always did like it when he called her that. Courting her like a true gentleman.

“I hope I’m decent company then, my lord.”

His gaze softened. “The best. Quite frankly, the only reason I’m here.”

Elain’s lips twitched as her flush deepened, pleased. “Well, don’t let Feyre hear you say that. She would be very offended.”

He shrugged and gave her the smile that always had her toes curling. “She’ll be fine.” he said lightly and gave her a once-over that immediately warmed her skin. “You look beautiful, as always. I like this color on you.”

She curled a hair behind her ear and smiled. “Thank you. I chose it because I thought you would like it.”

“I love it.”

“You look very handsome as well. I like you in suspenders.”

“Thank you. I was thinking of you while choosing what to wear.”

“And I love it.”

They had inched a few steps closer to each other and shared another smile beneath the dazzling lights sparkling all over the room. The room was bursting with the commotion of their friends and family laughing and enjoying themselves, but Elain and Lucien only had eyes for each other.

“We have ten minutes until we welcome the new year.” Lucien said quietly. “How are you feeling?”

Elain bit her lip then looked earnestly into his eyes. “I’m feeling grateful. And ready for whatever this year has to offer.” she said softly. “You?”

“Grateful as well. And excited for whatever is to come in this new year.” he replied warmly.

Elain smiled and held out a hand that Lucien immediately grasped in his. “Well. I would like to walk into this new year calling you mine. What do you say, mate?” she whispered playfully, and Lucien grinned.

“I’d say, that is the best way for us to start the year, mate.” he whispered in return. “For am I yours, and you are mine. That is the only way I want to begin this new year.”

Elain giggled softly then leaned up and quickly kissed his cheek. “How offended do you think Feyre would be if we left immediately at midnight?”

“Once I start kissing you, dove, I will care very little about anything or anyone else.” he said with a pointed look, and Elain couldn’t help but chuckle.

“Then come closer and count down with me. With each number, I am owed a kiss.”

Lucien immediately pulled her into his arms and smiled down at her as she smiled up at him. “Then buckle up for this new year, love. I’ll plan on drowning you in kisses.”

Gazing into each other’s eyes, both found the love and acceptance they had always been searching for.

A love for the ages. A soft love. A love with welcoming arms.

“Happy New Year, Lucien.” Elain whispered to her lover.

“Happy New Year, Elain.” Lucien whispered in return to his paramour.

And as promised, with the countdown of each number, Lucien and Elain shared a sweet kiss then began their new year as intended, in each other’s arms.

Lucien blinked at the delicately folded note that fell in his lap then looked up to find Elain, standing sheepishly a few feet away. His brow quirked up at the flush in her face, how her hands were behind her back, and one foot crossed in front of the other. “What’s this?” he asked, amusement lacing his tone.

“I know you’re reading and trying to relax but um — you should read it.” she said quickly. “And then uh — you can let me know what you think.”

He tilted his head, watching her curiously. “What I think? About what?”

“About what’s in the note!” she said, the flush in her cheeks deepening as a little giggle escaped her. “I’ll be in our room. Waiting. To hear what you think.”

Lucien watched her scurry off and slip into their bedroom, a short chuckle slipping from his lips as he eyed the bedroom door left slightly ajar. He shifted his attention back to the mysterious note that smelled of his lovely mate and gently unfolded it.

A wide grin bloomed on his face as he read the greeting.

I recently read a new novel that included many...scandalous things that I had never thought about before but can’t stop thinking about. Lucien had slowly doubled over as he reached the end of the letter and let out a soft laugh at such a polite request. He was grinning so fucken hard, he was sure his face would be split in two and quickly stood, adjusting himself because his body had caught up to Elain’s request before his mind could process it.

Stalking to their bedroom door, he slowly opened it fully and leaned against the doorway, pleasantly surprised to find his lovely mate seated in the middle of their bed in a sheer night gown that did little to calm his raging hard-on.

He held up the piece of paper between two fingers. “A letter?”

Elain licked her lips, roses blooming on her cheeks as she fidgeted with the edge of her gown. “I thought this was a more...appropriate approach than simply throwing the book at you.” she said quietly and then started laughing at the wide grin on his face.

“Appropriate?” he said, his tone low as he slowly stalked towards her, shedding his shirt in the process. “None of my thoughts are appropriate when it comes to you, little dove.”

“I was hoping you’d say that.” she said quietly, grinning widely as he climbed the bed and immediately covered every inch of her body with his. “What do you think of my request?”

“I think it’s a request I’d be more than happy to fulfill.” Lucien said with a smirk, looking down at Elain’s flushed face. “Any reasons you didn’t use your words to tell me?”

Elain ran her hands through his hair then down his back, a sheepish smile on her face. “I — I felt embarrassed.”

Lucien hummed and narrowed his eyes. “Embarrassed? To ask me for things I’d be happy to provide you with?” he said, his thumb caressing her cheek. “There’s nothing embarrassing about asking for what you want. I’m sure you can feel exactly how much I like the idea you’re presenting.”

“I do.”

“Have you ever felt embarrassed at all the other times I’ve respectfully disrespected you before?” he asked with a pointed look and another giggle slipped from her lips.

“No.”

“Good. The only feelings you should have are satisfaction and delight at being fucked properly.” Lucien said and raised a brow. “Do you feel those things when I play with you?”

Elain flushed deeply and nodded.

“Use your words.”

“Yes. I feel those things very much.”

“Then it sounds like I need to go buy a few things and return quickly to fulfill my mating duties properly.” he concluded with a grin, but Elain tightened her hold on him.

“I already have them.” she whispered, and Lucien’s lips twitched as his brows shot up.

“Do you now?”

“It was a sneaky operation that may or may not have included using a certain High Lady’s name.”

Lucien let out a laugh that had Elain giggling along. “You used Feyre’s name?”

“No one bat an eyelash and I wore a hat with sunglasses.”

He shook his head with a smile before he finally leaned in and gave her the kiss he’d been eager to give the moment he walked in the door. Elain responded eagerly, a breathless moan escaping between the kisses and fire erupted between them as their tongues began to play. She lifted her hips, grinding against him and Lucien pulled back with a groan.

“You coy angel. You love tempting me.”

“Maybe. I’m also not wearing anything under this gown.”

“I noticed.” Lucien said tightly and Elain laughed in response. He kissed her fiercely once more, his hands tangling in her hair as she wrapped her legs around his waist and Lucien ground into her. Only when he felt her melt beneath him did Lucien finally pull back and gave her a stern look.

“This is how the rest of this evening is going to go,” he began, and Elain’s eyes lit up in excitement. “I’m going to make you come all over my tongue as an appetizer before I flip you over, tie your hands with those silks you’re interested in and fuck you with little to no mercy.”

“Will you use the crop?” she whispered eagerly.

“Only if you’re a good girl.” Lucien said with a dark chuckle. “We’ll ease into it to see if you like the sting.”

“I like the sting when you use your hands.” she continued in a whisper and Lucien’s grin turned wolfish. “So, I think I’ll like this too. I like trying anything when it’s with you.”

Lucien’s gaze softened, his heart squeezing when she smiled at him, and he couldn’t help but kiss her again. “I like everything when it’s with you.”

“Thank you for answering my letter so quickly.” she said sweetly. “You have an excellent response rate.”

“You asked so politely. How could I make you wait?”

Elain bit back a smile. “And what else do you have planned for us this evening, my lord?”

“Well, I really want to watch you roll these lovely hips while you come all over my cock. So, after I’m through with you the first time, I’ll give you a little break, then have you ride me until you can’t take it anymore.” he said, his voice dropping dangerously low and Elain’s toes curled as her whole body heated. “After that, I’m going to have you ride my face until you come again and then I’m going to have you spread under me to fuck you one more time before the night is over.”

“Will you use the silk ties the whole time?” she asked quietly, licking her lips and Lucien smirked.

“We’ll see what you can handle,” he replied pleasantly. “How do those plans sound for the evening, my lady?”
