Guys I promise I have dissertation-level posts in me about the intricacies of many KND characters’ psychic drama including every member of Sector V, I just outwardly write about Nigel and Lizzie most often because I go insane if I don’t while the other characters are like a dull, manageable ache

Tale as old as time we would literally rather die on a battlefield or turn a blind eye to the planet exploding around us than be vulnerable and real in love. How fucked up would it be if love were possible without destruction of ourselves and others, without control or cruelty or purposeful ignorance. At the root of Nigel’s relationship problems is the fact that he invented a new, secret love language expressed not in physical affection, quality time or words of affirmation etc., but by “throwing yourself into a meat grinder over and over.” Most people do not recognize this behaviour as romantic or loving because it is actually not. Of course it would be a lie to say Nigel is the only person who created a new, secret love language because everyone does this to some degree. For example Lizzie’s is “burying and erasing all inconvenient truths” and she finds it difficult to use that one on a guy who’s always in a meat grinder, like, in front of everybody

I would hope that the KND travelling experience is very different from flying commercial air, but I definitely believe that Kuki loves to do the flight attendant thing and tell them to "stow their trays for landing" etc. just for her own enjoyment....and Sector V can never deny her bits like that

I think about KND characters on commercial airlines every time I go on one myself tbh. Abby strikes me as the kind of person who sleeps for the entire flight, and Nigel is probably in a state of total agitation from the moment he sets foot in the plane until the moment he leaves. And if you've ever seen someone at an airport who's like Extremely Visible because they're wearing a gigantic neck pillow and every other travel comfort item you can imagine, as if they're about to go to a spa instead of sitting on a plane...and you're like "is all that really necessary"...that's Lizzie

KND treehouse gets blown up by enemies and Sector V finds their treehouse in shambles and amongst the crying and shock Kuki brings out a peculiar rainbow monkey and when asked what it is, she says "this is my treehouse blown up rainbow monkey that helps you cope with your treehouse getting blown up"

If anyone in KND is left-handed it’s Abby. Nigel wishes he was SO bad though

consider this! We all Nigel is a terrible singer and Abby isn’t. To balance out their dynamic, I see Nigel being a gifted dancer and Abby having two left feet when it comes to dancing (and ONLY dancing, she’s very flustered about it)

anytime we see her dancing in the show however? It’s after Nigel taught her in private in one of their rare downtime moments.

YES I 100% believe this about Nigel as well—and he loves both dancing and acting, always wishing he could sing and be a triple threat performer, lol. He was born for the stage

This makes so much sense for Abby too because she has a lot of private insecurities that she plays down as much as possible to look cool. I wonder if it’s the social aspect of dancing that would trip her up more, like, she’s coordinated when people aren’t watching but when they are she gets in her head about it!!

I likewise think that Nigel could only pull off that one song in operation LOVE because Abby coached him for months (noticeably, he really only sang one line and sort of spoke-sung the rest of it). I think they’re constantly doing that for each other because they’re so complementary in every way. (I also think that Nigel wants Abby to teach him French, but like singing, he has a total lack of natural ability for picking up languages and she frequently just gives up on him lol).

I recently finished playing both earthbound and mother 3 and could not help but amass a List

✅mean-spirited kid who no one likes and who hates everyone else in turn, has a chaotic life and upbringing

✅greedy above all else

✅vulnerable to making deals and alliances with powerful figures/entities in a personal quest for power, causing problems for everyone constantly

✅these alliances also come at a genuinely horrific personal cost for them but they either have little insight into this or just don’t care

✅long-standing rivalry with a pure-hearted protagonist which is the closest thing to a friendship they have (and may also be a gay thing)

✅somehow manages to amass teams of henchmen every time they try some new bullshit (also specifically this comes with Arab orientalism in both cases??)

✅keeps going through new insane body horror transformations throughout the narrative

So my question is like. Was this on purpose
